im remain very very short bias..and here are my top equities for this thinking.SHFL WLT X SEED DAC COST HIG RMBS ISLE CPSL PCX UNG...for those that cant short tings ..reverse ETF's are a beautiful thing.. SRS FAZ TZA ERY DUG...hese will go up when the market tanks.. i have been buying a few of these in the last 4-6 days and continue to add as they drop near the daily low or at the market close..good luck

new thought..I have really come to luv the ETF's but remain extreamly apprhensive at the same time..example, I dodged a bullet with DXO lat week..dxo was a oil play etf with lots of movement..i had a boat load i carried overnight once in a while..(like i do now with srs tza and faz..) I got lucky cause i had sold around 10K dollar worth and and just happened to stay away and out of the blue the very next day ..poof..it was gone..delisted and i assume everybodylost their ass.. no warning, nothing..i stillcant figure out what happened to it..this is the only example out tis type of occurance that I know of..other that that..ETF's are considered a "pure play" they follow the DOW very closely..it goes up ..so do they..DOW down so do they..no accounting irregularities, no management BS, no lost contracts,no FDA approval shananaggin crap..just up and down with their sector..I like em..that is just me..and all these penny stock posting are really flakey (and fun to watch, or possible dabble in with small amounts of money) but take a lesson from R1's recent experience..sometimes ..he likes to "go big or go home" which is good with more solid companies like X MON HIG BA MSFT WYNN LVS..you feel a little more secure about taking a position and holding for more than 1 day..cause you know where your money is (hopefully even with these big neme co's) ..but maybe R1 and all will learn a lesson from the crap that can and does go on in cyber vegas..I know I did at his expense..I prefer high volume big name plays for my really big buy-ins..but for the pennystockeditor crap that is out there..never never put up more than you want to loose in a hurry..generally no more that 5% of your entire portfolio and if you make a few buks ..great..save the big money for the better more liquid plays..i have never had issues with getting in and out of BA MSFT HIG VLO ect..OK im done..later

one last thought for the night...even tho SIRI is below a buck and seems to be a "penny stock" i do not consider it to be, its different..they a company with substance..4.5 billion market cap, not 90K like
GVBP..18million + customers and growing, monopoly of soon to be the entire world and real Ppartners" like CNBC..just announced live streaming audio on IPOD, AAPL with the portable docking system, and big name talent like oprah winfry, howard stern, and the exclusive NFL contract..so there ya go..for me its a buy any thing close to 64 at this point..if it pulls back to there and then continue to add position ever 2 cents down or 1 cent up..for me I just bailed on 200K shares just under 70 and waiting for "the big pullback" in the whole market (hensemy reverse etf accmulation)until i start getting back in..or below 64..ok now im done

Morpheus- I was holding some DXO profit shares and I haven't been following the market too closely because I haven't been trading. I also was unaware that it was going to VANISH, so one day I logged in and my DXO showed worthless. However, yesterday, when I logged in, I saw that my shares are gone and I got a little over 4 bucks a share for them (even though I never sold them). Just thought I would let you know what happened to us idiots who are hiding from the market right now and have no idea what is happening.

thanks SoAngel...glad to hear that people did not loose all their bucks on DXO...unlike WAMU. I feel a little better about the risk of holding ETFs..

DXO was liquidated due to some regulations. They gave about a weeks notice and paid closing price for all outstanding shares. I just happened to catch that info on cnbc one morning. The odd thing is, the "sister etf DTO is still going. When they announce they were shutting it down, they didn't announce what price they would pay until after the final close.

Sept 4 presser,

Deutsche Bank, one of the largest issuers of commodity ETFs, has announced that it will liquidate its PowerShares DB Crude Oil Double Long Exchange Traded Notes (DXO), noting in a press release that “limitations imposed by the exchange on which Deutsche Bank manages the exposure of the Notes have resulted in a ‘regulatory event’…which has caused Deutsche Bank to redeem the notes.”

As part of the winding down process, within the next two weeks, DXO investors will receive the cash equivalent of the net asset value of their holdings in the ETN. As Morningstar’s Scott Burns notes, it is important to note that investors will be receiving the NAV of the note assets, rather than the market value. DXO, like other commodity exchange-traded products, has stopped issuing new shares in recent weeks, resulting in shares of the fund trading at a premium to NAV. “So if you bought this fund at a premium, you are out of luck unless you can sell it at the same premium,” notes Burns. Burns suggests that investors sell their holdings in DXO as soon as possible, but notes that most of DXO’s premium evaporated shortly after the announcement. In an extreme example of supply/demand imbalance for commodity funds, the U.S. Natural Gas was recently trading as high as 20% above its net asset value.

CHCI...SOLD!! Glad I dodged that bullet but covered too high. $1.04.

DXO....I was wondering the same thing and happy you got paid. I have been burned by ETFs so I either stay away from them or learn NEVER NEVER hold them over night or expect them to move back up. SKF was a COSTLY $13,000+ loss lesson.

Penny stocks.....I had made rules a while back saying no OTCBB stocks. GVBP was an exception because of my father suggesting that and he doesn't like to buy anything under $5 or losing money.

So what to play....I might flip CHCI now...ride it back up. Haven't really looked at the market yet. So post some picks guys. Ohhh yeah....I still like ETFC but my father says stay away because they are losing money.

Stocks I will look at again:

FNSR $1.19
ETFC $1.78
BQI $1.25
HBAN $4.31

HEAT: This makes no sense;

public offering of 7,246,087 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $9.00 per share.

So why is it trading at $12.30s???

I'm favoring MDM short at $2.90 and higher. Cover at $2.40-2.50. No quick trigger finger yet today. So still exploring.

CLFD might be great for short. $4.58...cover at $4.00.

Yeah like most of everyone I know....I think and expect a huge pull back. Just a matter of which day.

$110 gain on my FAZ so far. My account is restricted right now so I will have to hold this for three days to settle funds. I need to get a margin account agreement in place so I can bypass these silly rules. Although I must say that having to hold a stock for min 3 days has made me a little more particular in my stock picks.

Yeah SJU, thanks for the advice! As well as R1! These days, overall, it's better to take what you can get. The next day just might be a gamble/unpredictable.

If you are interested, azk and svm are down 10% or so. They should be good for a 10% gain soon. They have a habit of down 10% to 15% and then climbing back up 5% per day.

Undecided on MWA...so good luck there.

PCAR...They pay divys...so once the DIVY comes...it will drop some....but that raises a question. Do you have to give them the divy or do they automatically get it and if so, does that effect you financially in what your doing?

ZUMZ...like shorting that one. Looks like you could squeeze a buck out of it. Nice volitile chart.

Just went on lunch break with some coworkers and Bloomberg was on TV. Unfortunately for my friends, they lost my attention after that. Anyways, they are saying they expect a major pullback in the DOW in the coming week. That would be most excellent indeed!
