I like Ameritrade because of their Avdanced Analyzer and Streamer, and level II (all free if you do an average of 20 trades a month (buy or sell counts as a trade) or maintain $100K in the account. Cost 10.99 a trade. Cheaper ones available.

I am currently with Fidelity. Fidelity has recently upgraded their Active Trader Program and it has become of great use for active technical analysis traders. Plus, if you qualify for the Active Trader Service, commission is 8.00 for all orders (market, limit, etc.), probably one of the cheapest ones out there.

ameritrade is the best. Go with them. No one can match their customer support and members center.

When you sell, the funds are available for purchases the very next morning. No "waiting to settle". If you wanted to withdraw the funds from your account then you would have to wait to settle.

I'm on Ameritrade too! I like their new site alot! If you want a couple of tips watch the boards and do your own research. I've filtered out hundreds and found a few favorites. CNES.ob, VIVI.ob, NETC, ASTM and a couple of others that move great on news. Let me know if you need more info. Later.
