Thanks, I hope this turns into as big a winner as I think it could be. That was impressive pictures on TV all those containers full of gold and silver.

I thought I had posted this last night, but I was pretty tired, so I must have screwed something up so I'll try again...
About 5 years ago a friend of my brotehr bought an old tug boat from a guy in New Orleans. He then took it through the gulf, around Folrida, and up the East coast to where they both live, in Maryland.
At one point in South Florida they saw this huge boat with all sorts of crazy equipment, and stopped and talked to the guys. Turns out, they were from a company called Odessy Marine, and they salvaged shipwrecks. They gave my brother the web address, and he and I checked out the site. I thought it was pretty cool, and got on their mailing list. I always kept OMR on my ticker on AOL instant messenger and it was at something like $0.80. I stopped using AOL IM a year or so ago, and never really thought much about it again.
This week, I got an e-mail about another big shipwreck find. I've been totally swamped at work, and was like "Oh, that sounds cool, I'll have to check in to it later".
Guess I shoulda bought the stock when I got the e-mail!
And for anyone in this, yeah, it's a legit company, with amazing technology, and apparantly some good people, or good luck
Good luck to anyne who got in or will get in!

hey, do the DD...who actually owns what...I remember an ocean-salvage play from a coupla years ago that looked like a lock--then soon they filed bankruptcy...not saying that will happen here, just a hedzup.

Yeah well, the lifestyle down there is almost unimaginale. I won't go into too much detail, but he lives in this backwater littel town on a river just north of the Chesapeake Bay. They all seem to spen like 15 hours a day on boats and none of them seem to have jobs
This particular friend bought a 60' tugboat from like 1920 as a restoration project. I think just for fun I thiink for a while he was planning to live on it, but not sure if that ever came about.
And good point about the stock itself. We've all seen cases of companies with "real, good products" that have gone into non-existence because of poor management or the fact that someone else actually OWNED the rights to the product and all proceeds.

PCola, the lifestyle down here is wonderful! Have lived on MD's Eastern Shore now for the past 22 years...The 15 hrs a day on the boat is their job...FWIW.

Fisher went through the same thing when he found the Atocha treasure , and that went on for years before they let him have it, but I believe he received most if not all of the procedes from the treasure.. I will have to check and see, But I think Monday morning is going to be an interesting day with this one ,, OMR has already found other smaller ships and treasure in the past and have a museum in Tampa that hold a lot of artifacts and brings in income for some of their money to finance the hunting.. This one will be fun ,,, who knows what will happen..

Well we retraced the gap this morning. If I had the money to flip a stock like this one it would have been a great day it was all over the place for a while. I still beleave that we can see $10.00 PPS. but believe me I am wrong more than right picking a selling point. The proclaimed deal in the works with Disney sure does make this company seem like they are working to expand their revs. Good luck to everyone in this one.
