Repo - you act like I have a following or something...I simply made a pick that's it...I respect your picks - I have asked you for some...& I appreciate it when you give them to me...I never said I was a seasoned pro - I AM AN AMATUER.....you have to give people on here credit - they don't buy things just because someone said so they take what's given to them & then do their own dd- if they agree they can buy it if not they don't....

My goodness - you are so grumpy today....

jeez repo, you're getting to be about as bad as ______________ these days..
good essay BTW.. you get an A++

i have to say i am disappointed cuz i was expecting a smart-alecky reply,

but?
i have no doubt that you knew that and chose to disappoint me on purpose cuz that's just how you play [Big Grin]

for some strange reason? this "seasoned veterans" stuff is getting to be red flag for plain ole rude posters...

Repo claims:
"I'll talk to Bob about my whole plan... he's an open minded guy."

WTH?
Just a suggestion here..BUT? By helping some of the "newbies" out and offering suggestions for learning? makes things alot better than your back handed remarks...
It's the down talk and belittling that makes people go to other boards...and post there...Seems all could benefit if "we" worked together in teaching...rather than belittling and attempting to seperate...
I've only been around here for about 10-11 months..and peeps on here have attempted to help me...but posters that simply criticize? what's the point? you'll be left with only following your own picks and sharing info with yourself...
You don't need a message board for that...

ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME??? LOOK AT MY POSTS. PERIOD.

I'VE GIVEN PICKS, RULES OF THE STREET, HOW TO DO FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS, SOURCES OF PUMP n DUMP EMAILS, ETC. , AND YOU SAY I GIVE NOTHING!??!?

ITS PEOPLE WHO CONTINUE TO PUMP CRAP STOCKS THAT DESERVE TO BE BANNED. THEY ARE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR PEOPLE LOSING MONEY. WHEN PEOPLE MAKE MONEY, THEY WANT TO INVEST MORE AND POST MORE. MOST CSHD POSTERS ARE GONE FOR GOOD - DEPRESSED AND JADED.

FOLLOW THE ROOKIES AND GET BURNED. FOLLOW THE VETERANS (Bullpicks, Superman, Beforethecrowd, Chartwalker, Cactus, etc.) AND MAKE MONEY.

First? don't YELL...
Second...I am going by the posts that you write within threads...not the threads that you have started...and some are not so nice...period!
I don't see the "helpfulness" about them...
But I seem to have struck a nerve...
some of the people that you have mentioned?
Why are they veterans?
I don't blindly follow anyone around...yes I read...and take mental notes on posters...some I have VERY low opinions of and if I feel that they are intentionally misleading peeps? I will say so...

FOR THE RECORD? I DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ARE SOMEONE THAT MISLEADS PEOPLE!

That's cool Jenna,....in search of the perfect wave huh?

I'm not that good at surfing, so I could hurt myself pretty badly if I'm not careful. I think I'm well on my way to working myself out of the kiddie wave pool though, if you know what I mean.

G'luck with this one. Hope your ride is stellar and epic,...dude.

MFI and RSI are oversold and pps is below lower bollinger
probably will run to 1.1-1.15 range soon

DRDGold Closes Fiji Mine Citing High Costs

By Karl Heilman
05 Dec 2006 at 05:34 PM EST

St. LOUIS (ResourceInvestor.com) – DRDGold’s [Nasdaq:DROOY; LSE:DRD] 78.7%-owned subsidiary Emperor Mines [ASX:EMP], an Australasian miner with operations in Fiji and Papa New Guinea, announced today that it would be closing its Vatukoula mine in Fiji.

The Vatukoula gold mine has been operating for 71 long years and produced over 7.5 million ounces of gold. The mine produced 17,388 ounces of gold for the quarter ended in September, and accounted for 11.5% of DRD’s total gold output.

However, following a three month review of the mine’s performance, along with a shaft accident last month that temporarily halted production, Emperor has elected to shut down Vatukoula due to high costs. Cash costs in June were recorded at $660 per ounce.

Emperor Mines CEO Brad Gordon said in a statement, “Emperor will continue to work closely with the majority shareholder DRDGold in coming weeks to develop a new financing strategy, to take the company forward and to meet the challenges posed by this decision.”

According to the press release, the mine would be placed on a “care and maintenance programme,” and added that future exploratory work to look for ore resources that could be mined profitably could be a possibility should the potential exist.

But Fiji’s government was toppled today by the fourth coup in 20 years, and elected Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has been dismissed under the command of Voreqe Bainimarama.

But DRD spokesperson, Ilja Graulich, said the Fiji coup today had nothing to do with Vatukoula’s closing.

“The coup is purely coincidental…You just look at the history of Vatukoula and the announcements and the losses they’ve been making, I think this is not a surprise. All the other operations in South Africa and offshore are all doing very nicely and this thing was just burning cash.”

In fact, DRDGold’s results ended in September showed that costs increased remarkably by 26%, resulting in a headline loss per share of 20.6 cents, from a 7.6 cent per share loss during the previous quarter, amounting to R66.1 million ($9.3 million).

Even though the company produced 4,670 kilograms of gold compared to the previous quarter’s 4,101 kilograms, the company said that “Australasian losses offset South African profits.”

DRD’s annual production is now about 527,401 ounces of gold. In June 2000, the company produced 1.1 million ounces.

After announcing the company’s third quarter results, CEO Mark Wellesley-Wood, 55, announced plans to retire. He simply said after 6 years, “It is now time to move on.”

But in more news today, the company has requested to cancel its shares on the London Bourse. DRDGold asked the UK Financial Services Authority to cancel the listing of its ordinary shares on the LSE.

DRDGold ordinary shares have been listed on the UK list since 1950, and the company has 814,624 shares on the list, the company said.

“However, since listing in the UK, only a small amount of trading in the ordinary shares has been conducted on the London Stock Exchange and the current trading platform on which the LSE places the ordinary shares makes trading even more difficult, particularly for retail investors. In view of this lack of trading ability, and taking into account the high costs associated with being admitted to the UK official list, it is considered that there is no longer significant benefit to the company to maintain this listing,” DRDGold said.

“Consideration is currently being given to alternative ways in which the company's UK shareholders can deal in ordinary shares and further information in this regard will be issued in due course.”

Share Price Activity

Emperor shares are currently down 26.32% at A21 cents on ASX. DRD stock is currently down 11% at 97 cents, and setting new 52-week lows.

DRD stock traded as high as $2.02 in mid-January, but has since fell by 52%.

Thanks for the heads up REPO. I thought i read something about the Fiji mine in the last couple of days but couldn't find it again. I used to flip this one all the time, but I will wait to see if it establishes a range again. Good luck Jenna, im sure you will be able to skim some off of it. Are you in yet?

I think so too, CW. I've filled up the cart, and I'll let it ride through the day tomorrow, to see what happens. If I like the feel, I may leave the trade on over the weekend, but I doubt it. Definitely a short-term momentum play, but there's some money to be made here, I think.
