I am in quite a few of them, but as the season progresses, there really is only 1 king.
That is ECCI. It is widely recongized as the biggest percent mover in the hurricane sector.
NSMG Formally NLST is #2 but has struggled a bit lately, but still holds the #2 title and is still a great play
WEGI - used to be a good #3 but has had a so so hurricane season and no big name traders really mess with it anymore. Last storm it went from .39 to .46 and back down in minutes. Just not enough movement and volume
Then there are the next tier, pbls, chdt, gwtr, sftv, etc. lots and lots of stocks becoming "hurricane plays".
Gotta go where the history and facts are. NLST went big last year. ECCI went huge from .07 to .75 because it recieved a contract in the gulf coast of missippi for its water purification system.
So Do your DD, but i would highly reccommend ECCI, but dont take my word for it, look at the charts, they dont lie. Compare dollar volumes and price movements. GOod luck
Its gonna be an exciting monday thats for sure

Hmm, if Ernesto stays close to land, I really don't believe it will strengthen much.
I am doubting that any hurricane stocks will be effected this coming week, but stranger things have happenned.

Gotta have a hurricane for a hurricane stock play.
Don't see no hurricane here.

I personally doubt it, but anything can happen.
A hurricane needs to be over open water to gain strength last I knew.
If it hovers over Cuba for some time, it will more than likely weaken considerably.

Sure do, Charley was on a more southern pathway than where tropical storm Ernesto currently is.
Also, Charley was a hurricane at this point in its travels, just south of Jamaica. Charley went through northwestern Cuba, not Southeastern.
Ernesto seems to be heading North somewhat sooner than Charley ever did.

I see different paths than they predict at times for these storms however.
They are not always correct, neither am I.

Honesty, ill make you a bet it is a CAT 1 Hurricane by the time it reaches Cuba. For the Record, it is currently traveling thru the hottest SST in the Entire Atlantic. The strait between Cuba and Haiti.

Not a weather expert...but on CNN today they said that the waters in the middle of the GoM were the warmest waters in the region, and that if the storm reached them it would stregthen.
However, it looks to be heading farther west and north, so at this track I doubt it makes it.
