This may not be the place to ask, but you all seem so nice here, I'm hoping you don't mind. I'm very new to playing the stock market (I know I have a LOT to learn). Anyway, I just bought some of this today. Is there a typical price I should consider selling? Is it good to hold for a while or get in and get out? So far, I've only bought 7 or 8 stocks and haven't sold any yet. If there is another forum more appropriate for my questions, please kindly direct me there. However, in regard to this stock, RKTI, what's a good exit point if purchased today? Thank you!

hey Kit. Most people set goals and stick to them, like a 10% gain, 30%, 40% and then sell regardless. You should come up with a plan for yourself and decide on your exit point. Most IMPORTANT stick to your rule and exit point, same with a stock that you're losing on.
This stock is at it's bottom. It's resistance is at .19, once it pushes from there, no resistance til .24
suggest you go ahead and sign up...we don't bite--unless you *need it*...or like it
Jelly posts well...*you* havta to decide your exit--if someone legit here tells you "sell" but then it runs? You feel cheated...outta dough you "could have made."
If someone here legit tells you hold? then it tanks?
see the point?
c'mon in--lottsa good traders who will help...

Jelly, Thank you! Yes, you helped. I bought at .1641. I am trying to formulate a plan and was thinking 20%. Not sure at what point I feel is right to exit at a loss. I'm just starting out, so not much invested yet. I'm taking it slow until I understand more. I don't know what you mean by, resistance is at .19, once it pushes from there, no resistance til .24 Does it mean it will stall around .19, then go up to around.24?
And, if you don't mind my asking...once I have established my rules to stick with, if it doesn't go up to my exit point or down to my losing point, do I just hold it a LONG time? Thank you for taking the time to help this newbie out. And if I need to move this somewhere else, please let me know...I don't want to be a PITA.

oh Kit, register already. You'll love it here. Resistance at .19 means it resists to move past that point, but once it gets through there it'll go to .23 pretty easily, then another tiny stall at .24.
Noone will tell you when to enter and exit. When it comes to that for me, I make a decision this way. I'm not at a loss and I'm not at a huge gain, clearly enough to cover my trading fees plus some. Will I make more money by selling this stock and putting it somewhere else? Do I NEED the funds.
Never fall in love with a stock, and don't bend you're rules for yourself. And if you decide to sell and put it somewhere else, don't look back. (well not right away anyways)

Oh, thanks for the welcomes, Tex and Lilpenny.
Right, I do understand that one wouldn't want to say sell or hold at a certain price point...guess I was just kind of asking for a general ballpark of what others do, just in general terms. I'm kind of easing into this and trying to learn.

Hee hee, it is isn't it
On your other question, I clearly can't anwser that. I'm in for a bounce. Not riding it long term unless an awesome PR comes out. I doubt the 52-week high will happen anytime soon.

Honestly, I can't anwser that. I'm riding the waves so to speak. I personally wouldn't hold for a year. I wouldn't hold any penny stock for a year...well except for PBLS maybe, but I'm still playing the waves on that one. Penny stocks are way to volitile to hold too long, IMO.
