Cypress Announces Proposed IPO for SunPower
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 21, 2005 - Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: CY) today announced that it intends to make an initial public offering of the common stock of its silicon solar power subsidiary, SunPower Corporation. The offering is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2005, subject to SEC effectiveness and the receipt of all necessary state approvals.
