Don't make too much out of Am Bulls ratings for GTE. They also posted a SELL at $2.04 right before this big uptrend of the last few weeks.
From Am Bulls below: (note the %gain was actually even higher since we touched $3.66)
"Our system posted a WAIT today. The previous SELL recommendation that was confirmed was made on 10.26.2005 (37) days ago, when the stock price was 2.0400. Since then GTE has gained 55.39%."

What will be the effect of this news on share price --- thinks it puts a cap on any significant price increase -- in fact it may put downward presure on the share price.

Edster, I think the little dip earlier was the only effects you will see from the filing. This was planned from the financing arrangement back in August. Nothing unusual or unforseen about today's filing IMO.

I agree. Am Bulls ignores the specifics of the company and uses only the candlestick method to decide a buy or sell recommendation. It does not factor in things like the history or the prospects of a company. It is a good guide but cannot take the place of knowledge of the company you are investing in. In other words, always do your DD.

The parties have agreed to start testing the wireless system in the city of Monterrey, utilizing GlobeTel’s proprietary wireless technology and Marcatel’s strengths as a carrier in the Mexican market. Things are looking very good for GTE now. The Core Business has positioned itself globally. The military seems to be very interested in our technology. The recent contract with Lockheed is verification of this. GTE will get a piece of the pie also IMO. We may even see some kind of partnership with LM. Our Communications Strat should be surfacing in the news soon. In any case, our PPS is moving in the right direction and Institutions seem to be buying these cheap shares. It looks like we will be moving to new highs very soon. Keep the faith and hold on to those shares, IMO it is very risky to trade shares the way we have been moving. GLTYA!
