Would be nice if we can break through the $2.82 resistance today on a shortened day. Would bode well for next week. Currently trading at 2.79

It just doesn't want to stop!
Is anyone swinging, or just holding? I thought of swinging, but something is up. I might hold...

Thanks for the advice. It closed at $3.01. I think I'm gonna sit back and watch next week and see what happens. Its just so hard to believe that it has continued to move up trend for so long without a down day.

My son is thinking of investing in this stock. He has $5000 - no more. He is not married and has no debt. If you were in his shoes, how much of that money would you invest in GTE? And at what point? I am asking for pure opinion here, I understand there's no guarantee on anything in this crazy world. I'd appreciate anyone's 2 cents. Dust? Peaser? Pagan? Thanks.

ladybird... Tough question. This much of a move was a bit unexpected on the shortened week with no news out. I have sold all of my swing positions and only have my core GTE position at the moment. So I'll be looking for, but not counting on, a retrace from these highs to initiate new swing positions. There is no guarantee of a retrace, especially with the strength of this weeks rally. And there is much news that may be released at any moment, but definitely before years end, concerning the Sanswire 2 test flight, military contracts, parnterships(they hinted at partnership announcement before end of year at last SH meeting). My best advice would be to watch it carefully this week to determine strength of this rally. If there is any sort of retrace, it will be shortlived and there will be a need to act quickly to catch it IMO. GTE has solid SP support in the $2.50 to $2.75 range. I would not expect a retrace(if there is one) to drop below that range. Current resistance is at $3.10, with next main resistance at about $3.40. If we manage to gap up Monday and break $3.10 resistance early, and start testing $3.40 resistance fairly early in the day, SP support level will have to be readjusted to reflect the uptrend which would put SP support in the $3.00 neighborhood. Sorry I could not give you a more definitive answer. GLTY!!

You answered that question right. If I was looking for a short position, I wouldn't own any right now....would of sold...but long term...Its going to be a great ride.
As for the contract.....I don't see one as of yet....even though they did the test flight....and worked perfectly....the news never said if they tested the software (signals, data transfer, etc). If infact they did, I could see some contracts coming in the near future, but if they didn't, I would expect another test flight with testing these perameters.
I feel this will be a $5-7 stock within 2-3 years.....for the low balling guess. High balling guess would be $22 in 3 years.

Well, I'm confident enough to have this sitting in my 401K. A wee bit more that 5k invested here long. I once owned 130k shares pre-split.
I think we may have one more up day before a minor retrace.

Looks like we keep testing and pulling back from the $3.40 resistance. Hopefully we can break the resistance at some point today.
