Thank You Keith I made 500 off this one today, playing the dips is relatively easy. In order to play the dips you must have Level 2 quotes well actually not really, just as long as you can see the current bid/ask prices you should do ok.
When I look for possible bounces I look for stocks that have gapped down and have been falling most of the morning I then look at the intraday chart on the stock then I would see what news made it go down. Usually it might even be something like an S-8 or something. S-8's are bad but some investors take them way to far and then they panic sell.
Ok now this is how I do it every investor might be different but I Open up my realtime screen on Microcaptrade and throw my Level 2's next to it and when I see the transactions start to slow down and certain MM's coming back on the bid(means they raise the bid) I know reversal is imminent so I submit a buy at the ASK(usually transactions start to speed up at a fast pace now) and I ride it up all the way till the transactions start to slow and then I see MM's start dropping the bid so then I know a reversal is about to happen so then I submit my sell.
Also there will be times when they turn on you and you must exit at once no one ever really can actually predict how a stock will trade. If you get a feel of how the MM's work these stocks you will do good.
Thats it thats how I pick my bounces, hope this can lead you into the right direction in buying stocks on a dip. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask I will try and help you and everyone else on here the best I can.
