BSI2000 Expands Distribution Network in Europe
Thursday January 15, 4:04 pm ET
Epple-Multimedia to Represent BSI2000 Security and Counterterrorism Products

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 2004--BSI2000, Inc. (BSIO-OTCBB), a leading developer of integrated optical card based systems and technology, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Epple-Multimedia GmbH of Westerheim, Germany.
The agreement calls for Epple-Multimedia to sell BSI2000 secure identification and transaction systems for industrial and government facility entry/exit control, employee tracking, and counterterrorism applications into both government and commercial markets.

Epple, a 30-year old firm, distributes security and other products to government security and police related agencies at both the federal and state levels. Current products include networked information display systems for time-regulated operation of large corporate headquarters buildings, multimedia firearms simulator training systems, and others.

Epple clients include IBM Deutschland, German federal, state, and local government agencies, and others. Epple paid a distribution fee to BSI2000 with contracted annual revenue performance requirements.

"We thoroughly researched the BSI2000 security products and believe that they will fit very precisely into the German markets. I am excited to be working with BSI2000 and our intent is to build a distribution network throughout the German speaking countries of Europe," said Helmut Epple, General Manager of Epple-Multimedia.

"We are very happy indeed to be working with Epple -- a highly qualified group -- and have great expectations with this partnership," said Jack Harper, president of BSI2000, Inc. "I believe there is a large market in Germany for our products and we are thrilled to have such a great group working with us."

In addition to this new agreement with Epple-Multimedia, BSI2000 also has a number of projects underway in the United States. The company is actively marketing its optical card technology to the estimated global $1.1-trillion emerging microbanking market and is also pursuing involvement in the upcoming US VISIT Program with the Department of Homeland Security.
