I was looking into Ostriches way back in 89-90 --40K per adult bird they lay 40 eggs a year produce 20-30 younguns-- that will bring 1000$ at the slaughterhouse-I said well i'll give you 1500$ for a live bird if it's only worth 1000$ at the slaughterhouse that's fair right--LOL--never did get any thank god-- the market for them never did unfold like all the pumpers were promising-- they do taste good tho--
