$40Million refinery to locate in Opp
By Stephanie Nelson
Perihelion Global announced Friday, December 8th its intention to construct a $40 million bio-fuel refinery in the City of Opp's Industrial Park.
Perihelion Global is a nationwide company which, by their definition, focuses on the "acquisition, development and management of technologies, strategic commodity reserves and assets in the energy, natural resource and communications markets."
According to Robert Boothe, Jr., the government and public affairs representative for the company, the new plant will create 150 new jobs with an average pay of $17 per hour.
"I'm at a loss for words at how excited I am for our community," said Opp Mayor H.D. Edgar. "Our community has been hard hit lately, but now we're beginning to crawl out of the dip. You can't put a dollar amount on the economic impact [of this project] for our city. Soon it will be groundbreaking time, and we're blessed to have it here." CONTINUED

Southern Independent Bank Opens
Southern Independent Bank opened its doors in Opp and Andalusia Monday December 4, 2006. Wes Laird of Laird, Baker & Blackstock has served as President of the organizing group since its inception in the fall of 2005. Andy Blackstock, also of the firm, served as an organizer as well.
“This has been the result of great teamwork by our Board and executive officers,” said Laird. Speaking at the meeting on December 1 when the Board was presented with their charter, Laird spoke of the Biblical passage “to those whom have been given much, much is expected. I believe our children and grandchildren will look back on this day in years to come and recognize that we all did something extraordinary for our communities.”
The executive team is made up of Buddy Wilkes as CEO (formerly of Regions Bank), John Adams as CFO (formerly of Aldridge, Borden CPA firm), Micah Garner as Senior Lender (formerly of Wachovia) and Brett Ballard, Senior Vice President (formerly of Superior Bank). Ballard served as Secretary of the organizing group.
The Board of Directors is made up of Laird, Charles Smith, Steve Sexton, Dr. Steve Boothe, Johnny Jackson, Butch Youmans, Dr. J.H. Tillman, Gary Smith, Norman Hobson, C.P. Cope, Dr. Bob Burkhardt, and Olan Harden. The Board will be chaired by Johnny Jackson, owner of J.M. Jackson in Opp.

The City of Opp, Alabama
The City of Opp, Alabama has always been a great place to live, but a new Mayor and City Council are a breath of fresh air for this South Alabama City. Exciting things are happening here and people are beginning to notice. One example is the announcement recently that MFG/Alabama, a division of Molded Fiber Glass Companies of Ohio will open a manufacturing facility in Opp. MFG will be manufacturing molded parts for Wind Generation for General Electric. MFG has a storied history, having produced the first molded fiberglass body for the Chevy Corvette in 1953. The company also produced the first fiberglass boat.
A national hotel chain is also finalizing a deal to build a hotel in Opp.
Another sign of progress is the revival of the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo. The Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo had fallen on hard times, but with renewed focus on the event, an estimated 20,000 people attended.
Opp has a beautiful State Park, libraries, great schools, a college, a golf course, and great places to eat. It is also a place that is "business friendly". All in all, Opp is a City of Opportunity.

Well, I finally had to say goodbye to the Devil Goat and sold for my tax loss at .33 yesterday.

I was in it when it was VMDG before the R/S, so there didn't seem to be much hope for me to ever break even, but now that I've sold, look for it to do well for those of you who got in it when it was PHGI.

Good Luck!

COMPANY NEWS AND PRESS RELEASES FROM OTHER SOURCES:

Perihelion Global Completes Acquisition of Patented Gold Mine With Gold Reserves of $745 Million From Saturday Night, LLC

WILMINGTON, Del. and SALT LAKE CITY, Jan 4, 2007 (*********wire via COMTEX) -- Perihelion Global (Pink Sheets:PHGI) announced that the corporation has completed its acquisition of the assets of Saturday Night, LLC, including Patent Claim #5797 located in Box Elder County, Utah. Patent Claim #5797 has been assayed in separate geological reports to have 1,277,950 oz of Gold deposits, currently worth more than USD745 Million ($745,000,000.00).
Patent Claim #5797 is located in Box Elder County, Utah, approximately 8 miles east of Montello, Nevada in the central zone of the Montello Mining District in Northeastern Nevada-Northwestern Utah. The two most recent geological reports verifying the gold deposits in Patent Claim #5797 were conducted in 2000 by respected Geologist Dr. Yung S. Kim, a retired Professor of Geology at the University of Nevada and Senior Fellow at the Department of Conservation, Office of Mines, Sacramento, CA.; and in March 2006 by John A. Yellich, Certified Professional Geologist -- No. 7538, American Institute of Professional Geologists, Licensed Geologist -- No. 891, State of Washington. The March 2006 geological report on Patent Claim #5797 is posted on the Perihelion Global website www.perihelion.com for public viewing.

"This is a tremendous acquisition for our corporation," said John H. Beebe, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Perihelion Global. "We firmly believe that the value of gold and other precious metals will continue to increase in the future. As such, in addition to the gold deposits already reported, we plan to conduct further geological surveys to determine the value of the remaining precious metal and mineral deposits in our patented property." Adds Beebe, "Perihelion Global plans to utilize the most proficient methods available for extracting precious metals and minerals and will entertain possible ventures that would further enhance the value of our precious metal and mineral assets."

Two principals of Saturday Night LLC, Brian Charlesworth and Dr. Patrick La Rive, will join Perihelion Global to serve in an executive management capacity.

Says Dr. Patrick La Rive, "I am very pleased with the rapid development of Perihelion Global and the proven team that John H. Beebe has assembled. Beebe's vision for Perihelion Global is steadily becoming reality. We are thrilled to become a part of this diverse company."

.22 x .28 this morning.

From what I have read, PHGI management is completely separate from VMDG and past tickers. In fact, some of the PHGI leaders have very successful track records in other large companies (take John Bebee and Global eTelecom for example). As is always the case in pinks, you must remain skeptical until indisputable/verifiable proof exists.

However, assuming this all legit, phgi is a gold mine (pun intended).

______________________________________________
From I-HUB (anonymous user):

Assumptions
1. The property we are discussing is the Patent Claim #5797 located in Box Elder County, Utah.
2. 80% of the avalable gold can be recovered.
3. Production costs of $250/oz (including any environmental set aside).
4. A standard gold producer forward EPS multiple of 5.0-8.0.
5. Management will issue the remaining 37MM shares to increase liquidity.

Data Assumptions
1,277,950 ounces of gold * $615/oz. equals $785,939,250.
(Management apparently uses the $583/oz number in lieu of expected minimums.)

Recoverable amount = 80%
1,277,950 x .80 = 1,022,360 oz

Total valuation
1,022,360 x $615 = $628,751,400.00

Production cost
(1,277,950 x .8) x $250 = $255,590,000.00

Net revenue in ground
$628,751,400.00 - $255,590,000.00 = $373,161,400.00

EPS
$373,161,400.00 / 100,000,000 shares = $3.73

Gold multiple forward EPS valuation
Low: $3.73 x 5.0 = $18.65 per share
High: $3.73 x 8.0 = $29.84 per share

Current price valuation multiple range
Low: $18.65 / $0.18 = 104 times current price
High: $29.84 / $0.18 = 166 times current price

Estimates:
Expect large speculators to arbitrage the EPS estimate based upon the assumption that PHGI will be purchased by larger gold interests as the Gold Bull expands.

Any refined estimates of production costs? TIA
