Change we can believe in. Why is this administration militarizing government agencies like this?

power is seductive. basically gun control only really means that they want to be better armed than we are...

Glass its not getting stupid, Its easy to understand and you know it. We just don't need people anymore. Right now it the unskilled, uneducated, criminals , and mental cases. and we have a society who's answer is to throw them in the dung heap then slowly take away the social safety net.

You know where all this eventually leads to is a revolution.

i know where it ends. i'm wanting know why no one seems to be able to learn from past mistakes.
please answer me this, Do you beleive that local civilian law enforcement agencies should have MRAPS? I think the existence of them in local police deptartments only creates the atmosphere in which their ultimate use will become inevitable. The cops will want to play in them and the non-cops will feel even more alienated by them. The militarisation of our civilian agencies (enforcement and others) will actually be the trigger of this rift, not the solution to any problem. Your experience in managing prisoners must give you some insights in to this psychological problem.

Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicle, I believe is what you are talking about glass. Now if you are asking me if I believe in them for civil enforcement of the law my answer is NO , NO and NO. this was just not in my time, And if you remember I was not in the enforcement part of things.

Yes I can give you one good answer to the way the bottom rung of society feels they are plenty scared and talk among themselves on how they will deal with the situation if they are on the outside.

Don't forget these are the only Americans that have most likely already seen tanks , machine guns , and fixed bayonets on there neighborhood streets. They know the GOV is not afraid to use force. It just makes them harder to deal with. And the average unemployed American with no hope or rights will be the same.

Law enforcement officials, especially those from agencies with small budgets, say they're turning to military surplus equipment to take advantage of bargains and protect police officers. The MRAP has an added benefit, said Pulaski County Sheriff Michael Gayer, whose department also acquired one: "It's a lot more intimidating than a Dodge."

Even in Pulaski County, population 13,124, a more military approach to law enforcement is needed these days, Gayer suggested.

"The United States of America has become a war zone," he said. "There's violence in the workplace, there's violence in schools and there's violence in the streets. You are seeing police departments going to a semi-military format because of the threats we have to counteract. If driving a military vehicle is going to protect officers, then that's what I'm going to do."

New Law Enforcement Robot Can Wield Excessive Force Of 5 Human Officers
News • police • News • ISSUE 50•22 • Jun 6, 2014
HOUSTON—In an effort to enhance the agency’s capabilities while reducing the burden on its existing force, sources confirmed Friday that the Houston Police Department has developed a new line of law enforcement robots capable of wielding the excessive force of five human officers.

First dispatched by the HPD earlier this month, the tactical robotic units, known as the AP-12, are reportedly equipped with on-board mechanisms to target both criminals and innocent bystanders, and possess a variety of retractable instruments that allow them to effortlessly subdue and restrain up to four individuals at once. According to sources, just a dozen of the new robots will be able to collectively carry out the physical and psychological abuse typically spread out amongst the officers of an entire precinct.

“We have done extensive testing with the AP-12 and we can say that these units are capable of carrying out everyday police work just as proficiently as any member of our force,” said police spokesman Gerald McClintock, who explained that the machine can be deployed to nearly any scene to which law enforcement officials typically respond, be it dispersing peaceful protesters by blasting a 14-nozzle pepper spray cannon or reacting to reports of suspicious behavior by immediately striking the knees, face, and throat of a potential suspect up to 10 times harder than its human counterpart. “Thanks to these robotic units, our deputies can rest assured their work will be performed to the same standards we have always expected of our patrolmen.”

“In many ways, these robots’ actions are indistinguishable from those of our brave men and women in uniform,” McClintock added.

Kids get suspended for drawing pictures of guns, and here is Biden holding a mock AR with 30rd. Funny photo. He is telling the kids all they need is a shotgun to shoot off the back porch (into the air at that) to scare the bad guys away. Thanks Joe. Mr. 40+ years in Washington.
