assuming that nobody is going to come to an agreemnt abouthis budget?
we are going to see the proof that cutting govt spending in htis way does not make the economy grow, and that cutting govt. spending in this way is destructive to GDP...
it's not just too late on Friday or even today, the time to act was actually in 2005.... and then they should NOT have acted. that was whne they handed out free money(tax rebates) and cut taxes and increased spending dramatically by creating a whole new govt inside the govt, (DHS- the GOP's did that)....
remeber, last one out turn off the lights...we can't afford the light bill anyway...

cash, i belive you may have somethig really wrong with your ability to think for yourself.
the GOP and the Dems are letting the US go to hellinabucket- both sides hoping that people like you and raybond will duke it out on the news shows witht he expectation that one side will win and one will lose. we will all lose this fight.
at a meeting yesterday it was announced that almost all govt position not filled as of tomorrow will be closed and left unfilled. no planning, no careful pruning, no cutting waste, just random acts of destruction of porgrams.
now, i know that some of you are unable to comprhend what the Govt actually does for you, but you are going to find out. and some of what the govt does for you is just well, FEED you that's all...
you cannot send ships into foreign seas when they arenot ready to fight, you cannot get them ready to fight without hundreds of thousands of civlian workers.
the govt does defend you against very real enemies. sure some of them are made by our own actions. but the defense matters nonethelss, because no matter how you obtained an enemy, they don't go away on moral grounds. they go away whne you send them away.
now we are going to find out exactly what it is we need the govt for cuz they are going to stop doing it.
