There was a shooting in a Delaware courthouse this morning. Of course it is terrible that 3 people lost there lives....but. I was reading a blurb about it on Foxnews and couldn't help but laugh when they quoted a witness.

"Dick Lawyer works across the street at the law office of Casarino, Christman, Shalk, Ransom & Doss and said his office building had been on lockdown since about 8:15 a.m. The shooting occurred about five minutes earlier. He said he and colleagues were shaken at first but calmer hours later. "We have a couple of people whose relatives work at the courthouse," he said."

There really are a lot of shootings lately.
It used to be more gang related, but not anymore.

Seems to be a normal day occurance in all walks of life. I think it has to do with the state our
nation is in.

And not the one they like to talk about.

here's my take on it, there are not a lot more shootings now than there ever were, we just hear about it more. We hear more about everything than we ever did now.

In the 30's? this country was a cesspit of murder (often just for food), aclohol related gang violence etc...

drug addiction? it's lower than it was 120 years ago...
it is estimated by some historians that as many as 1/4 of people in he US were addicted to patent medicines before the labeling laws were drafted moslty to an opiate called laudanum, but cocaine was also heavily used int hose medicines as was caffeine...

this country has a very bloody history... how many lynchings happened in the last 20 years? a couple - including being dragged by a pickup till dead which i consider to be the same as lyching..
there were thousands and thousands of lynchings rpeorted in newspapers, who knows how many were just not reported? it was common enough and people got away with it enough that they bragged about it until the 50's. that's why we have hate laws now. people forget very quickly how things really were...
