It's too bad that the media in charge over the past decades haven't focused on the folks that have looked for work and can not find work...

Anyone have a chart on those unfortunate souls, whom are unable to find work, yet have looked, that unemployment benefits have run out on, and now are unfortunately not counted by this unemployment numbers chart?

Way to high.

Not something they want to talk about in an election year.

Seems all parties do not want to deflate the market or deflate us starie eyed voters with real numbers.

I've got an interview next weekend.

If that fails unemployment is next. The severance is gone.

Funny thing, I got plenty of cash...I'm just too young to touch it without either a penalty or a 72t. No way am I ready to pay the added 10% and the interest rates they allow 72t's to use right now are insanely cheap. Not quite ready to use that avenue anyway but especially when top rate is 1.5%. bleh.

So is it true that they obama admin does not count people who have been unemployed 2 years or longer in the unemployment numbers? I havent found anything that proves it to not be true yet. If that is the case, talk about creative numbering in order to fabricate. Why are there hidden unemployment numbers, and the REAL unemployment rate not really discussed much?

I would love to buy American more, but everything is Chinese now. There really is not much "made in the USA". It might be ASSEMBLED in the USA with factory parts from overseas.

cash, every administration has always used the application for unemployment to count the unemployed, it's not soemthing Obama cooked up, furthermore, Obama has extended the benefits to two years when they were 90 days(?)(i dunno for sure never collected it) so his numbers have reflected more actual unemployed for longer than other administrations [Wink]

partisanship would be OK if it wasn't hiding the truth about what is really wrong in our country. fact is teh GOP is so screwed up the only way they mount a campaign to unseat Obama is with distortions. the president has almost no control over jobs. in fact, what he has control over is govt hiring and the GOP complains about that too.. LOL..

Hiring for Gov. jobs is tough these days.

As people need more and more relief(unemployment, disability etc.) less and less people are there to process their claims, especially at state levels.

Very little money for hiring or raises as employees get tired of being overloaded and quit.

Gets worse and worse.

i've asked several times for the actual regulations Obama implemetned that has stunted job growth and caused oil prices to up...

they ain't there.

my main complaint about Obama is that he has caved in to congress on too many things. Health care came out a mess, and actually helps insurance co's and he extended tax cuts.

if we don't pay our bills? we will be in big trouble.

the GOP's keep saying that we spend too much, but that spending has been "baked" in for almost a decade now. the major part of the spending increases were response to 9-11. The GOP plan to cut taxes just increased borrowing, and it has to stop.

"keep increasing"? huh? when Obama cut medicare (an "entitlement") spending the GOP went after him...

"Let's not forget, only one president has ever cut Medicare for seniors in this country, and it's Barack Obama," Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, said in a Republican presidential debate on Dec. 10, 2011.

seriously cash, when are you going to admit that Fox news has and continues to destroy the GOP and any credibiltiy they had...

entitlement spending goes up because tehre's more people that have already paid into it now collecting it. it's funny cuz i'm on th elow side of the age cutoffs where they say it's going to be cut.... of course i knew this years ago before "they did"

I am so sick of hearing the GOP refer to SS as an "entitlement"...

I paid into that system for over 40 years and anything that I get back out of it "I earned"...
