WOW!

"The race was supposed to be an easy win for Democrats, who have a 3-1 ratio registration advantage in the district."

Just goes to show people are sick of this administration more than the left thinks. Its like Nancy Pelosi in the 2010 elections when the dems got a beating like no other...she was in complete denial about why she lost so miserably.

cash, Weiner was not in this administration.

Weiner was in Congress, which has an even lower opinion rating than the administration.

Obama is likely to lose, as i used up alot of bandwidth making the case the other day, i hope you didn't miss it, you'll not e that Obama supporters did not come back at me with insults either they know i'm not making this stuff up for a laugh.

It's the economy stupid.

it always has been- always will be, everybody knows this.. The HORROR is that i hear the TPARTY wanting to do MORE of what Bush did, and even tho you are tired of hearing about how it's bush's fault if we do more o'de same, we we will get us more o' de same. I hope somebody with some common sense not in a bushel basket but in their head and their heart and their gut shows up and saves US. Not gonna happen tho i live in thereal world.... in other words, get out your fiddles cuz the bonfire has begun [Wink] seriuosly? I think we are going to see alot more people in DC get voted out every election. The TParty guys claimed they were there to change things too, and they ain't changing anythng neither... That zero job growth number they were kicking around at the debate? That was cuz Congress pushed the default thing to the very edge of the cliff, and we saw that some did in fact fall over the edge.

First time since 1923 a Republican had this seat. It IS the economy. Weiner FOUGHT for Obamas policies with probably the loudest mouth of them all on the floor. He screamed, acted like a child, etc.

So yeah, Weiner supported Obamas economic moves and not to mention being a big liar about a sex scandal.

don't be surprised when GOP's get tossed out too is all i'm saying... even if they did everything i wanted them to do to fix the country [Big Grin] we'd still be in this mess for another four or five years, and since they aren't doing anythig i want we be doomed forever [Big Grin]

no, seriously, we collpased, and it will (IMO) be another five years like Japans lost decade. It's like a wound, it takes time to heal, if you take speed to get going again sooner you still haven't healed and you get sick all over again which IMO is what they already did...

yep, but this isnt a broken clock. You are saying that voters.....in a district where there are 3 democrats for 1 republican are what is broken when they have had enough?

Ted Kennedy's MA senate seat was won by a Republican. New Jersey elected a Republican gov in such a blue state, the 2010 election was a landslide. Now a very blue district has just been lost to a Republican. What more slaps in the face do you need ray before you realize that people dont like what has been going on since Obama was elected? Was the broken clock right twice in a day in THOSE elections too? People want to pretend these things didnt happen. Now, they say that Republicans want to hang black people from trees. They say such vile things in response. Your response...well was typical. Not much substance, just trash talk.

Well, on the flip side im not impressed with any GOP candidates right now for the next Presidential election. I just hope they put up something better.

Obama will win? Well, I wont make any bets until I know who the GOP is running. If the GOP runs another wrong pick like McCain/Palin I am switching my registration from Republican to Independent.

first off cash, i would like you to remember that no matter how bad it is? it can always get worse, and this crop of GOP's courting the TParty are working hard at reinforcing the worst things Bush and Clinton did....
de-regulation and cutting taxes is not the answer to our problem cuz they were never the problem to begin with.

i hate paying taxes and i hate rules even more. they are for everybody else but not me. that's not news, it's the human condition.

people are fed up all over, but when i said it can get worse, i mean crap just like this:

With more than 90% of precincts reporting, Bob Turner, a retired television executive best known for producing "The Jerry Springer Show," had 53% of the vote in unofficial returns, election officials said. Democrat Dave Weprin, a state assemblyman from a politically connected family, had 46%.

are you sure "the people" won anything replacing weinerwanker with the exproducer of the Jerry Springer show? think about it for minute, they call that jumping outa the frying pan and into the fire...

stop cheering so loud it smells off.....

Just because one says hope and change doesnt mean they will deliver it.

Obama HAS done some good things. I dont hate everything he does, which is why I cant ever watch Sean Hannity's show.

cash, i really meant what i said about things getting worse.
i'm not a liberal. i see the reasons that Reagan had what today we call "liberal" views even tho he was a Conservative. heck i was pissed when he didn't declare war on Iran, and backed out of lebanon after the marine barracks- i quit college and enlisted (under carter) while the hostages were still captive expecting to fight in the mideast... there are alot of sound economic policies implemneted by Reagan that the so-called new conservatives are ignoring. Reagan took the debt and tripled it. If Obama did that we'll hit 30 trillion debt in '16.... is he doing it as fast Reagan did? nope. Reagan grew the govt spending and hte amount of people employed bythe Govt,a nd it DID help the economy. Thats just fact, yet since HE did it? It's OK, but if Obama does it? It's wrong. You see where all this is headed? Reagan did it MORE than Obama and the economy grew more. So Obama should be MORE like Reagan? Right? LOL

when extended jobless benefits go away (they will soon) and people start getting paid less (even more than they are now) things are going to be alot worse- that is exactly what the TParty is bringing on. You may hate unions, but i happen to like peope to have some extra spending moeny in their pockets to buy my chit. That money is going away and will be going away faster if Perry or Bachman get elected. Romney? I think he's pretty smart, but i also think he's done alot of job cutting in his business practices. I think his Mormonism will hurt his chances of getting elected tho.

essentially, Obama has not "made" the economy into a good thing. BUT it got bad by doing all the stuff that the TParty wants to do MORE of..... i am not saying Obama is not at fault anymore, he's been there two years+ now, but you must accept tha fact tat Obama inherited a mess caused by DeRegulation adn Tax Cuts- that's what Bush and even Clinton did... Clinton signed the bills tha allowed the Insurance cos and the Banks to get back into the trading biz after they were banned from it during the Depression.

that credit downgrade? it was because the TParty scared the heck out of the world by even threatening to default... IMO? Obama should have let them default. He would have bent hem over the barrel with the results, he could have literally given the Pontius Pilate speech I wash my hands of you You want this? Take the credit fo rthe results. They would have been catastrophic

so, what i am trying to tell you is that being cheerfual about he WAY the GOP is getting itself lined up to get the power back should scare teh heck out of you. It's all fear that they are using. Since you mention Hannity? I i'll say that his show and a couple of others are one of themain reasons people are so despondant about the future of the economy. Thye literally spend every day on TV looking for reasons for the masses to be afraid of the futuere, and the GOP in general wants the economy to be and reamin bad so they can get the WH back. Boehenr McConnell, Limbugger, Hannity, Murdock, Beck, all of 'em are working day and night to make sure Obama fails, and hence, making sure the country fails.

What will be interesting to see is how the GOP deals with the problems once they get it all back... What will people say after the GOP cuts some more taxes and cut Govt spending and the unemployment rate goes even higher? cuz it will, unless they raise taxes on imports and give money to people for free to start businesses - sadly, free money won't even do it cuz they'll take the 0% loans and default after they stash the dough just like that co making solar cells did ... hopefully a few of them will go to jail. but i ain't holding my breath

It's pretty surprising that no one brought up that Turner gave Rush one of his first gigs.
