Does a good job of letting you know who runs Washington!

"last refuge of Banana Republics"? LOL

"aren't the taxes higher than year ago"? no they are not. this is a myth that the GOP keeps spreading. Tax revenues have been down for the last three years, and the stimulus package made by Pelosi and Obama was in fact 1/3 tax breaks........ Tax breaks account for almost half of what has been "spent" on the stimulus plan, and the tax break show up in your paycheck every week, instead of in a brown envelop in the mail, or a big electronic transfer to your bank account [Wink] ...

this quantitative easing was inevitable since we allowed China full access to our markets while they restrict our assess to theirs...It's the Yuan being pegged to the US Dollar that's forcing all this happen... We are taking them down till they cannot stand it any longer... the Chinese SHOULD have begun buyig GOLD to back their currency after 9-11... Why they didn't? I dunno, but from myperspective? The fact that they didnot means they are intent upon destroying our economy in the long run... They have to know enough to know that the best way for them to create a stable economy is by backing their currency with gold... We used to know that til we had to fund war after war after non-stop since 1941....

as to Ben Bernanke? He is an expert on the Great Depression. He is th reaosn we are not in one now..

the Goldman Sachs makes their living ripping off the American people? LOL.. too true... and that's wher to look to blame the economic collapse.. them and JP Morgan. JPM is who invented the derivatives market.... and it was Phil Gramm, Leach, Bliley and Clinton who made it agianst the law to regulate that market...

they did this on purpose because that' how the brokerages make their real money, thru inflation...

Feds Raid Connecticut Hedge Fund Offices in Insider-Trading Investigation

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents raided the Connecticut offices of hedge funds Diamondback Capital Management LLC and Level Global Investors LP amid a far-reaching insider-trading investigation.
"The FBI is executing court-authorized search warrants in an ongoing investigation," said Richard Kolko, an FBI spokesman, who declined to comment further.
Both hedge funds are run by former managers of Steve Cohen's SAC Capital Advisors. Level Global Investors LP is a Greenwich, Conn., hedge-fund firm run by David Ganek, a former SAC Capital trader and art collector. He started Level Global in 2003 and earlier this year reported managing about $4 billion in assets.
Diamondback Capital Management LLC is based in Stamford, Conn., and was started in 2005. It oversees more than $5 billion in assets, according to SEC filings.
The move by the FBI follows an article by The Wall Street Journal describing an insider-trading investigation that is expected to encompass consultants, investment bankers, hedge-fund and mutual-fund traders. The investigation is said by people close to the situation to eclipse in size and magnitude past insider-trading probes.
