Hillary Clinton v. Sarah Palin

Who wins?

IMO, Hillary will remain quiet as she has been over the past year or so, and again will be Obama's rival in the next presidential primary for the DNC.

This is the only option for the DNC if they want any chance to win the highest office in 2012.

What does everyone else think?

i'm trying to remember a case where the party with the seat ever gave it to another candidate at the convention...

i'm still trying.......

Sarah Palin is unelectable. put her in there and anybody can win against her..

scratch Huckabee too...i'm trying to remember a Presidential candidate that ever worked for a News agency (real or not)

still trying...

Saw an article that said Newt Gingrich is thinking of running in 2012. So who would you pick between Palin and Gingrich for the GOP nomination?

The GOP does not have much going for itself. Ask yourself all are dumb as a post, know nothing about American history except Newt, thiers a real moral person for you. He dumped his wife on her death bed to be free to go his way with another woman. I can't think of anybody that can run a good race.

At least get someone who IS a moderate and not so far left. Wasnt Obama named the most liberal senator? I think Colin Powell would make a good President. The international community would like him, but he has a bruise left from the Bush admin.

Oh oh how about Karl Rove for President! How fun would that be! j/k

I would enjoy seeing Mitt Romney win, he knows how important private business is to the country.

Sarah Palin is one hot wifey regardless!

Mitt is not going to make it in the GOP simply because he is an LDS. GOP needs the far right vote to have a chance of winning. And the far right will not vote for an LDS.

I was shocked when she was asked what she likes to read by Katie Couric...I think it was what magazines or newspapers does she follow. I mean at the minimum she could have said allstocks!

I can name many books im currently reading and have read this year and she cant name anything. She should have just lied and said the WSJ or the Wasilla paper.

Well Sarah gets smeared a lot, but what does she expect when you get asked that and you just have a confused look on your face.

Her and McCain had some issues, and you could tell they were not getting along behind the scenes. I was so angry at Republicans for putting him up.

“The maverick and the MILF.”

She left public service to make money. If she wanted to make more of a difference she should have stayed governor of Alaska.

i wanted McCain in 00 instead of Dubya, but somebody (probably Karl) started a rumor in SC that McCains adopted daughter was actually his child and she is half colored...

in the SC primary that rumor got Dubya elected and he kept on winning from there... Before that? Mccain had been the favorite... and Dubya had done very poorly in the primary debates, so poorly that it was shock when he began winning...

interestingly? a couple years later, Strom Thurmond died after being the SC Senator for almost 50 years....

here's where it gets Ironic (capitalization intended)

Shortly after Thurmond's death on June 26, 2003, Essie Mae Washington-Williams publicly revealed that she was Strom Thurmond's daughter. She was born to a black maid, Carrie "Tunch" Butler (1909–1948), on October 12, 1925, when Butler, a minor at the time, was 16 years old, and Thurmond 22. He helped pay her way through college and later paid her sums of money in cash or checks passed through relatives. Though Thurmond never publicly acknowledged Washington-Williams when he was alive, he continued to support her financially. These payments extended well into her adult life.[17] Washington-Williams has stated that she did not reveal she was Thurmond's daughter during his lifetime because it "wasn't to the advantage of either one of us"[17] and that she kept silent out of love and respect for her father.[5] She denies that there was an agreement between the two to keep her connection to Thurmond silent.[17]

James Strom Thurmond (December 5, 1902 – June 26, 2003) was an American politician who served as the 103rd Governor of South Carolina and as a United States Senator. He also ran for the Presidency of the United States in 1948 as the segregationist States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) candidate, receiving 2.4% of the popular vote and 39 electoral votes. Thurmond later represented South Carolina in the United States Senate from 1954 to April 1956 and November 1956 to January 2003, at first as a Democrat and after 1964 as a Republican, switching parties as the conservative base shifted.

He left office as the only senator to reach the age of 100 while still in office and as the oldest-serving and longest-serving senator in U.S. history (although he was later surpassed in the latter by Robert Byrd).[1] Thurmond holds the record for the longest serving Dean of the United States Senate in U.S. history at 14 years. He conducted the longest filibuster ever by a lone senator in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957, at 24 hours and 18 minutes in length, nonstop. He later moderated his position on race, but continued to defend his early segregationist campaigns on the basis of states' rights in the context of Southern society at the time,[2] never fully renouncing his earlier viewpoints.[3]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strom_Thurmond

so Rove starts a "rumor" that Mccain has a half-colored child while the truth about Thurmond never came out? how Ironic can you possibly get?

BTW? i beleive that in most states? having sex with a person under 16 is statutory rape now....

Now, what about Blago? Dont you think that fancy haircut deserves a go around at 2012? Blago vs Palin, both are divas!

You know, below is an article on Christie in Iowa. Why is he up there? They say raising money. Is he the GOP backup plan? He said over and over he was not running, but maybe he will come and say the best way for him to serve the people will be to run for President, and that he got New Jersey back on its feet and will be run by someone new that can carry on the good deeds.

You keep seeing how the GOP big donors are wanting him to run, and have actually been meeting with him in private to encourage him. He is not perfect, but I would vote for him against Obama IF there were no new candidates which I am sure there will be. I dont think he will, and the article below says he will eye 2016, but who knows. For the GOP in 2016 I see him and Sam Brownback of Kansas trying to run. Its a ways off though.
