I really do not understand why if your hometown team wins a championship there is a need to riot. Throwing rocks and bottles at cops, lighting fires, and beating innocent people because your favorite team won a championship just seems a little off to me. Am I wrong for noticing this?
Or is there some sad story about how the people of LA are "oppressed" by the white man and Republicans....as the usual defense goes on this board and elsewhere. Oh wait, this is George Bush's fault just like everything else.

actually? the Philly fans did riot in '08....
the same thing happened in Boston on more than one occasion, 2004, and 2007- as measured by number of arrests? they were all worse than last nights riots.
since 9-11 NYC has become something of a police state, so people there are less likely to riot.
cameras everywhere, homeland security is watching EVERYTHING, and everybody there knows it.

Its all the mexicans in L.A. and here is the proof:
They were running around the highways waving the Mexican flag while they vandalized the city, and you can hear them speaking spanish in the video. Blanket amnesty? Sure Obama, you keep on making great decisions. Oh thats right, 1 year we would be out of Iraq? Close gitmo? What a freakin inexperienced joke and a lot of you fell for the snake oil.

Do other sports teams cause riots? Of course, but lets not blame other riots in the past for this one people...seriously has the blame bush syndrome spread into sports? We are talking about the now and this particular event. Not the Canadians or Philly. We all know what a dump Philly is.

somebody made a false calim, and i corrected it. it's that simple. this behaviour is not limited to bassetball.. heck i watch about four bassetball games a year all of 'em are finals or semifinals....
i will watch NO baseball this year because they are protesting the AZ immigrarion law. bunch of ungrateful immigrants there.
it's not that any one place is a bigger hole than any other anymore cash, our country has lost something. the midwest is chock full problems too, as a matter of fact? the midwest has never even developed an economy to match eitehr coast deipite having more resources than either coast....
and yeah, i think Bush and Cheney are major contributors to what's been lost, maybe not personally responsible for much of it, but they represent it...
and yeah, i think the ultra-consrevative view that claims to be trying to "go back" to the Founders beleifs is also part of it... those guys were slave owners and their wives were their slaves too, lets get back to that and fast- before we are completley lost, sheesh what load of crapola...
quite frankly, there's alot of angry people on both sides that want to destroy the whole thing instead of coming togetehr to fix what's fixable and work from there. until both sides stop whining and complaining about each other and stand proud to the plow, we are doomed.
be part of the sloution or get out of the way of progress, that's the root word of Progressive for a reason...

It's been a while since any team in Wisconsin has won a championship but when it does happen there's never any problems. By the end of the game everyone is too drunk to raise anY kind of a ruckus.
