The cops didnt even do anything! This is your typical left-wing tactic.

The only one in the home at the time was the son of the BOA executive, and he was so scared he had to lock himself in his own bathroom. Can you imagine if a conservative group did this? All hell would break lose. The mask of the left is falling off very quickly.....very quickly across all boards.

Targeting private homes and families is sick behavior. We all know who the SEIU backs, OBAMA. They want special favors, they want to be able to do what they want....

targeting soldiers funerals is too, and the left wasn't doing that, it was "radical christians"

The appalling Bible-twisters at the Westboro Baptist Church are at it again.

Less than two weeks ago, the WBC horror show rolled into Colorado, targeting a variety of schools, synagogues and more. While here, they spread their usual brand of ignorance: Check out this post about a seven-year old pretty sure God hates Jews.

Now, the Westboro forces are announcing that they'll picket the Friday funeral in Englewood of Golden's Grant Wichmann, a Fort Carson-based sergeant who died last month from wounds suffered in Afghanistan. And while they don't always show up when they promise, their recent visit raises the ominous possibility that they'll make an already awful day for Wichmann's family worse. Below, find the WBC release, which ends with the words, "Thank God for IEDs."

GOD HATES AMERICA & IS KILLING OUR TROOPS IN HIS WRATH.

The traveling hate circus of Westboro Baptist Church swung through Capitol Hill on its current Denver-Boulder Tour of Brightly Covered Disparagement, unloading its Kia full of signs outside the offices of the Intermountain Jewish News.

It was pretty standard fare for Westboro, if calling Rabbis whores in a crowded intersection can be considered standard. But the center of attention was a young boy clutching a "God Hates Jews" sign and complaining about his feet being wet -- and his parents, who so proudly took him out of school to stand in the rain and hate.

The boy, 7, was sandwiched between his dad -- who appeared to be the leader of the Hate Squad -- and his quieter mother, Topeka's Lucy Drain. The counter-

man, they have mounted 40,000 plus protests, and every one of 'em was disgusting.

One of Westboro's followers estimated that the church spends $250,000 a year on picketing.

the father of a Marine whose funeral was picketed by the WBC was awarded $5 million in damages. In June 2007

Yeah Glass, but that church wasnt going to private homes, standing on their property with 500 people, and scaring the daylights out of children in the home and area. Two different things.

At least the Patriot Guard helps the funerals and provides security. Those kids at home have nothing, its sick.

I also have to ask Glass, what if that was YOUR home, and you had a son there who was so scared he had to lock himself inside a bathroom. Is the action of the SIEU legal? Wouldnt coming onto private property and menacing, disturbing the peace, and a list of others be enough to do something?

this dude is part of the crew that dumped Glass Stegal and allowed the UNREGULATION of the makrets that caused the crash:

He coordinated Treasury policy on the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and led the development of presidential initiatives on financial privacy and consumer protection. Baer previously served as managing senior counsel at the Federal Reserve Board.

bad stuff, i don't feel sorry for him or his family at all. call me a jerk, i know it already.

This isnt about how bad he is or how much money he makes. Its about the event, and I tell you what....if that kind of crowd showed up...you would see me on the rooftop with a M-4 with the safety select on fire. I would be calling in backup, and plenty of lawyers to investigate the police department who failed to enforce the law.

Glass...you're a jerk... [Wink]

I don't care if this guy is the new head of the Manson family, Glass, that kind of crap IS illegal. The fact that they were able to do it with impunity is scary and should worry anyone who believes that their home is safe.

i don't really disagree with you that they should be charged with trespassing... i tend to think we are too prohibitive of peaceful protesting, so i encourage peaceful protesting in public places...

blocking traffic? tha's not safe for anybody, etcetetc.....

but i am not sympathetic to people who have stuff just cuz they have stuff either...

I think this issue should get more attention in the mainstream media. It isnt just some small group of misfits, this is SEIU and this is what they do. Flash mob tactics. It has nothing to do with who owns the house. This enters a realm of child endangerment.

http://money.cnn.com/2010/05/19/news/companies/SEIU_Bank_of_America_protest.fort une/

Why the media wasn't invited

Sunday's onslaught wasn't designed for mainstream media consumption. There were no reporters from organizations like the Washington Post, no local camera crews who might have aired criticism of this private-home invasion. With the media covering the conservative Tea Party protesters, the behavior of individual activists has drawn withering scrutiny.

Instead, a friendly Huffington Post blogger showed up, narrowcasting coverage to the union's leftist base. The rest of the message these protesters brought was personal-aimed at frightening Baer and his family, not influencing a broader public.

Of course, HuffPost readers responding to the coverage assumed that Baer was an evil former Bush official. He's not. A lifelong Democrat, Baer worked for the Clinton Treasury Department, and his wife, Shirley Sagawa, author of the book The American Way to Change and a former adviser to Hillary Clinton, is a prominent national service advocate.

In the 1990s, the Baers' former bosses, Bill and Hillary Clinton, denounced the "politics of personal destruction." Today politicians and their voters of all stripes grieve the ugly bitterness that permeates our policy debates. Now, with populist rage providing a useful cover, it appears we've crossed into a new era: The politics of personal intimidation.
