Can't speak to the Kopechne family question. What I am waiting for is whether Mass. holds a special election to replace him or will Kennedy gets his final wish and they change the law to keep the Dem numbers in Congress.

either way coming from Mass. it will be a Democrat. If not as close knit as the Republicans are there seems to be a few most of the time that turns on the rest.

Ted coulda changed repub. half way through his term and the sheep would have still elected him, he is a Kenedy after all. That name alone has most American voters stupified, "well if he's a Kenedy, he must be right for the country," Thanks media. Ted sucked off off the success of his brother........ period. the reason they changed the law just a couple of years ago was because of Romney, if Kennedy died while Romney was in office? it was assumed that Romney would have appointed a GOP, which was his right as Governor, even tho he would be replacing a Democrat.
now? they have a Dem Governor so Kennedy was asking the law to be changed back to it's original

No doubt Ted was carring a ton of garbage and the only reason he was in the senate all thoes years was becase of the name Kennedy. He really could have been something if it werenot for his problems.
Boby was cut short maybe I am wrong but he was suppose to have a clean record. Anyway quite an american family story mob man gets his son to the highest post in the country and the is hits going on like a real Boston mob fight . What a story

Chris Mathews on MSDNC said Ted Kennedy passed the torch to Obama, and Obama has now become a Kennedy brother. Anything to keep the legend alive I suppose.
