the real problem was the department of Justice, Cheney and Bush.

Cheney was running the CIA Bush was being ignorant and the DOJ was re-interpeting laws.

the DOJ's job is not to interpret laws, the DOJ's job is to enforce them

the job of Justice Dept as in the Supreme Court,(not to be confused with the Department of Justice which is the attorney general) is to interpret laws...

what happened was that Cheney told DOJ to make it legal to torture. Ashecroft hired yesmen to find a way to make it SOUND legal, and Bush didn't know a damn thing about anything.

we prosectuetd the Japanese after WW2, and our own troops in the Nam, for doing what Bush ordered the CIA to do.

do we stand for Justice and Freedom or not?

you cannot become the devil to beat the devil you already lost when you became the devil.

You need to take your suggestion to heart. The truth is not as you assert. Is that because "You can't handle the truth.." or won't or don't know what it is? Perhaps it is a personal shortcoming.

if you mean that Dick Cheney saved America by torturing people? i don't beleive you.

if you mean that Dick Cheney is the devil incarnate? i might be able to accept that [Big Grin]

i watched Cheney on the Sunday morning CNN interview where he reminded us several time that he spent 40 years in public service...

that's all well and good. how did he manage to make 50 million dollars while working public service?

i think that's a record. most of 'em make the money after they leave public service.

and it isn't like Cheney had family money or an Ivy league education to put on his resume either... he flunked out of Yale (i dunno how he got in)
