man that's alot of heavy reading...

it looks like the tranche reports here,
http://www.treas.gov/initiatives/eesa/tranche-reports.shtml
give summaries of what they did,
but they are pretty vague.

359 banks bailed out...

you might find this worthwhile:

http://www.hlpronline.com/Levitin_HLPR_011909.pdf

Harvard-related, "cram-down," basically...

doesn't seems to be informed re: CDSs vis a vis Trimbath, but still pretty good in scope.

"tranche warfare" i like that.. which gives us the answer to why nobody was instersted in bailing out individuals....

in many cases, foreclosure is
often more profitable to servicers than loan modification. Servicers receive fixed-rate
compensation for a limited duration when a loan is modified, but get unmonitored costplus
compensation in foreclosure. Therefore servicers are incentivized to foreclose rather
than modify loans, even if modification is in the best interest of the MBS holders and the
homeowners.18

that's the smoking gun... they hung AIG because it was profitable. the CDS's are the compensation.

the taxpayers were stuck by the servicers.

Obama's plan incentivises the servicers more than homeowners, that's why i couldn't beleive Rick Santelli went on that rant when he did...

I'm really itching to.. believe me... but i'll wait for it to sink further and then perhaps buy it up...

Yeah, [Smile]

Stewart really put the screws on. Its not really surprising that Colbert and Stewart are the number 1 news source for 20 somethings when you see that kind of montage.

the sad part is that it's on comedy channel

when limbugger started out on radio? my grandparents listened to him.

that's how i was first introduced to him. i asked them point blank how they could stand to listen to him tell them how smart he thinks he is? they said he was "funny"....
