Hasn't helped Mark McGuire's chances to get in either I would say.
While they were pissing in that drug test cup, they may as well have been pissing on the game itself!
Why would you let them in? If they let them in, Pete Rose should definitely be in there...

Even without the doping, I question A-rod's value.
I've been able to watch both him and Palmero at length and have this to say: Way way too many of their dingers came after a game was blown out, so that the pitcher was just finishing out nine innings and way way too many times when a ground ball to the other side would have scored a winning or tying run, these two were there swinging for the East coast and popped up or struck out and left their team a looser. Neither is a worthy ball player for anything, let alone the Hall.

Funny, on SNL they said Alex Rodriguez admitted to taking steroids, except in October...

Around here, we no longer get surprised when one gets caught on the needle.
The year after A-Rod left here and Young moved from 2nd to short and it was so obvious how good he was at the new position, the saying here was that the Rangers had had the best shortstop in the majors all along, except he had been playing 2nd.
