President Bush last week signed into law a bill which will see the federal government begin to screen the DNA of all newborn babies in the U.S. within six months, a move critics have described as the first step towards the establishment of a national DNA database.

Can you say New World Order... to me it's like invasion of privacy... and could be abused in the justice system in the future by corrupt law enforcement people...

First off, let me be clear that I'm opposed to this.
But, play the other side for a minute. If you knew at birth (or shortly thereafter) that your child had a treatable genetic disorder, wouldn't you want to know?
