Ok, who's taking who? I've got a decent sum bet on the Patriots -12-1/2 points. Anyone else betting today?

You know, if I wasn't betting I'd be pulling for the Giants too, even though they knocked the Pack out.

I bet on the Giants to cover the spread at 12 though I expected NE to win... oh well... won a decent amount....

I mean seriously... The G-men have been a ATM when on the road this year.
Just the playoffs alone, at Tampa, at Dallas, At Green Bay -11 degrees, at the VERY big one.

Plex was right! They didn't even score 17!

Eli to Tyree where Manning had TWO guys holding on to him and escaped both and Tyree caught the ball with his helmet was possibly the greatest play ever in the NFL. Think about the play if it was just Manning escaping the sack and completing a normal pass. Now think about that the catch on its own was an unbelievable catch. The fact that both happened on one play, and given the stage and the fact that it led to beating the undefeated Patriots, well, that will be replayed once or twice over the next few years.

Glad to see the Giants take it. Hurt the wallet a wee bit but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll win it all back on basketball in the next week anyway.

NFC East, guys...tough division.

To tell the truth, though, *anybody* coulda knocked the smug offa that Pats' azz and I'd be happy. What mule droppings that the Pats are the "greatest team" in NFL history...

I'd compare the Pats to the Bills when they had Jim Kelly and Thurmond Thomas. Great team, but not finisher-elite category. No way the Pats compete with Bart Starr Packers, Terry Bradshaw Steelers, Joe Montanna 49ers or Troy Aikman Cowboys.

Still, great SuperBowl game....

join me in a toast to the undefeated Dolphins.

Game seemed kind of boring till the end.

I guess it’s hard to beat those older days when it seemed to me like there was a little more to the game.

I can’t figure out exactly what I mean by that statement just doesn’t seem to be there for me anymore maybe just getting to old or I realize how beat up these guys get and pay for it later.

Still hard to see anything better than the game Broadway Joe put together to win a super bowl.

Upside if you’re trying to get your money back better not bet against the Lakers. They seem to be coming along if they can stay away from more injuries. Jackson and Colby have been quiet for awhile, about time.

really? boring? Jeez, they were knocking the hell out of each other. Granted, it's a watered-down league compared to the real dynasties, but that was the best Super Bowl game, imo, since Gruden left the Raiders and then beat them from Tampa Bay. Good stuff, given the rule changes...

I was thinking the same thing immediately after the play...that was by far the best play of any game I have ever seen in my 51 years on this earth...talk about persistence! Great game!!!

true dat...

I told my son to expect something freaky in the 4th quarter, and as he grabbed that catch offa his helmet, my son said, "There it is!" No kidding, that was the game-changer...

What a catch!

They definitely knock each other around and those guys are really big.

The first quarter i thought that the Giants didn’t have a chance. The NE quarterback seemed to have really good protection had all day to throw, that changed quickly.

I have not watched either team during the season so maybe these quarterbacks were just having a bad day but in such a big game they sure missed a lot of easy conversions, just my opinion. Do these quarterbacks every run the ball anymore? That one play was a great play and did make the game.

I have to agree with you Glassman on your quarterbacks. Joe Montanna might be the best of the best as far as throwing the football.

That really was a great play!

Here at my household, it's been an "anyone but the Patriots" sentiment after our Steeler's didn't make it. We were on our feet at the end of this game. Great Superbowl.

GIANTS DEFENSE!!!! Even the great Tom Brady can't find receivers when he's on his back. Not one big play by the Pat's.

Eli Manning answered his critics. Where's Rivers?
Where's Ben?

In the end the Giants where the only team with a big enough pass rush to take down the Patriots.

Belichick does his usual bad loser act and leaves the field before the game is over. Boy is he gonna have trouble sleeping.

GIANTS SUPERBOWL CHAMPS !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you, Tex. I was listening to the radio on the way to work yesterday morning and they were like "that was a boring game until the end". I was like "What? That game was intense from start to finish" Guess a lot of people only equate exciting with high scoring.
