The only muslim countries where some dumb-ass fundamentalists took it to the streets were Iran, Syria, Palestine and Pakistan.
Ring a bell?
Iran, Syria and Palestine: all the protest over there are statemanaged and we all know the nature of those regimes. Pakistan: no. 1 sponsor of Al Qaeda and the home of madrassas (I called it the school for terrorists).

i agree that Pakistan is WHERE we chased Al-queda (from Afghanistan )but i disagree that they are the primary state sponsor, especially in terms of cash..
al-Queda (appears to me ) to be a basic reaction of the Saudi's deep conservative traditional values versus the westernization they have experienced due to huge influxes of western $$ and cultural influences... i don't believe the problem is even religious....(they just use religion as a recruiting tool)
IMO? al-Queda is Saudi Arabias problem....
the "new al-queda" we have created by invading Iraq is a whole different crew... and probably could care less about osamabinalivetoolong at all.
osam provideds them a banner to stand under...
who has time on their hands to be a revolutionary or terrrorist? rich kids and poor kids..
middle class people have bills to pay and kids to feed etc...

But I still beleive that Pakistan (some members of the Pakistani Secret Service, best buddies with the Taliban) have a hand in Al Qaeda. And I also believe that Osama (if he's alive) and Al Zawahiri and co are "protected" by these guys, whether they're in Afghanistan or Pakistan.
"IMO? al-Queda is Saudi Arabias problem"
The problem is that US is such a good friends with the Saudi's that Al Qaeda becomes US problem automatically.

i have to agree with Persia on his last post... Osama has enough money to spread around in Pakistan's society including it's gov't and law enforcement to get them to help Al Qaeda with information... not saying the whole gov't or law enforcement but just the greedy ones who will help for a price... i equate this with the drug cartels in Colombia and how they used their money to get their way and/or get information on informants, investigations, warnings about upcoming raids etc.
As for Al-Qaeda being only Saudi Arabia's problem... ahh no... they are definetly our problem but the Saudi's have to help more in eradicating them...
