I'm heading to the Canadian shield with the wife for a week of fishing, joking around and romance making. Leaving Monday around 3:00 a.m. Rest assured, I'll be thinking of everyone here as we reel in our 153rd smallmouth, not to mention the walleyes and pike. Geez, I almost feel bad for you guys/girls as you slave away while I'm sitting in the middle of a lake. Well, not really.

Wow, you guys are hilarious. Well, again, enjoy your week while Mr. & Mrs. Up are a-fishing and a-spooning.

Well, did everyone enjoy their week? I certainly did. Hot as a pistol but it was a great trip. My wife outfished me again by landing a 9 pound walleye, a 5 pound smallmouth and about a 20 pound northern. Beat me in quantity too. BUT, I wasn't at work while the rest of you, or most of you anyway, were. I get the feeling that at times quite a few of you think "damn, if only I could be like Up", right?

Just kidding around Glass. She won't even touch them much less clean them. Besides, where we go it's all catch and release, can't even keep anything for lunch. I guess I agree with their policy but I'm a bit worried that it's going too far. Some fish have to be removed from the lake, it's beginning to be overrun with smaller fish. That's when you need a few years of harvesting the smaller "eaters".

Yeah, they'll make it if you want it. They buy the fish from the commercial fisherman that fish the lake. Kind of hard with the wife though. By noon she's gotta pee pretty bad and she's not one for going in the woods so we usually head back to the lodge for lunch.

What's a trout? Isn't that something that the true aficionados (fly fisherman) go after? Poor guys don't understand that you need pounds of hardware to catch true fish.

The Munchkin Man is really going to enjoy this work week.
This weekend the Munchkin Man signed up two more students for the Munchkin Man's private math tutoring program.
Through the combined efforts of the Munchkin Man's tutoring and his meticulous proofreading of mathematics textbooks, the Munchkin Man is now making a far greater impact upon the mathematical literacy of America's precious school children than the Munchkin Man ever did in all the years he spent in the classroom.
Granted, very few children are blessed to become tutored by the Munchkin Man.
The positive effect of his tutoring is only felt for about about a maximum radius of about thirty miles at the present time.
On the other hand, the Munchkin Man's proofreading efforts are felt nationwide.
That's because the mathematics textbooks the Munchkin Man proofreads will be used nationwide.
Take heart.
The Munchkin Man is promoting the mathematical literacy of America's precious school children on both a national and local level.
Good luck to all.
Best Wishes,
Munchkin Man
