The Munchkin Man is hoping that one of you can answer this question for the Munchkin Man.
Why Did God make the mosquito?
He must have had a good reason.
Why did God make such a critter which has caused so much torment and torture for the human race?
Mosquitos love to bite the Munchkin Man.
Once upon a time, the Munchkin Man lived on Chincoteague Island.
Chincoteague had a terrible mosquito problem.
You had to run from your car to your house, swatting and slapping mosquitos with both hands, to try to minimize the bites.
They would bite through the Munchkin Man's jeans.
They would bite through the Munchkin Man's tennis shoes.
Then the Munchkin Man would have to swat the remaining mosquitos on him once he got inside the house.
The Munchkin Man's arms, legs, and face would be smeared with blood.
Then there would usually be at least one or two mosquitos flying and humming loudly around the Munchkin Man's head when the Munchkin Man was trying to sleep at night.
One time the Munchkin Man got so many bites during a mosquito attack that the Munchkin Man had chills for the rest of the day.
So why did God make these things?
The Munchkin Man's naturally inquisitive and inquiring mind wants to know.

(only) to produce eggs... they weren't "created" to take a blood meal, the ones that "evolved to take one" do have a natural selection advantage since blood is richer than their "survival food" which is plant nectars...
so when a skeeter bites you? you can call her a biotch...
not all species bite humans, and there are even (genetic) groups within species that do not take blood or do take them...
most skeeters feed off of birds toes... we are not their preferred food..
skeeters really did live during the Jurrassic (Park ) times, so they were around before we were....
the largest portion of the worlds skeeter population is in fact predatory on other skeeters.. (as larvae) if we cultivate the predatory little monsters and release them in large numbers? they will eat the bad girls for us..

PS: the predatory skeeters do not take blood meals...
so? as you can see? heavy spraying can be very irresponsible.. if the "wrong" group develops pesticide resistance first? (and they usually do, see Murphy et al )then you are killing off the "good ones" and giving the "bad ones" a bonus....
