A-Rod's tear a wonder to be savored
Unprecedented run puts old rivals' fans in united state of awe

 -

BOSTON -- In the battle between the High Socks and the Green Sox, it was a spectacular draw.
Alex Rodriguez and his stretched hose stretched reality two more times on Friday night at Fenway Park, but then the discolored home team completely shattered that reality with five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring four of them with Mariano Rivera on the mound.

Hey, we had told you to not expect any six-run ninth-inning rallies in this series. Didn't say anything about five in the eighth, though.

So the season's first meeting of American League East behemoths was an absolutely perfect example of why this rivalry is the best of both American sports and drama.

Rodriguez, baseball's most underpaid superstar, began the night on a pace to hit 116 home runs, which, obviously, was a ridiculous notion. Then he stepped up that pace; after Nos. 11 and 12, he is on track for 130.

Yet, as Rodriguez furthers the fairy-tale start to his season with two more home runs, danged if the Sox will let him enjoy it. Take your clouts, and take a 7-6 loss, too.

"He's on an unbelievable run," said Andy Pettitte, who benefited from Rodriguez's double shots with a 6-2 lead that didn't survive. "I'm glad he's on my side. He's crushing the ball all over the field. Amazing."

Everyone in the record crowd of 36,786 left happy after getting both sides of the coin. They wanted to see their Old Towne team win, and they also wanted to see Rodriguez stay high. They really did; the obligatory antagonism toward A-Rod melted into appreciation and awe.

"I'll really be surprised if he doesn't homer," said a Red Sox jersey-clad fan on Yawkey Way shortly before first pitch.

He wasn't surprised, twice.

While the afternoon was still warm, Rodriguez walked out of the clubhouse tunnel and onto the field -- trust us, he was walking, not floating -- and one of the Yankees fans bunched behind their dugout focused on his retro-chic socks style.

"Keep those socks up!" yelled the fan, implying some connection between Rodriguez playing all season with navy socks pulled just below his knees and hitting home runs at a Bunyan-esque pace.

Yes, yes. They used to refer to such feats as Ruthian. But Babe Ruth never did anything like this. Paul Bunyan didn't play baseball, but if he had, he might have cut people down to size the way Rodriguez has for three weeks.

Socks up, Rodriguez clocked two more home runs, for four more RBIs, against the Boston Green Sox, who wore green to honor Red (Auerbach).

Rodriguez joins Mike Schmidt, who hit 12 homers in the first 15 games in 1976, as the fastest to reach a dozen in baseball history.

Rodriguez's weakest at-bat against Curt Schilling produced a first-inning fly ball to the warning track in straightaway center, which here is about 380 feet from the plate. That was his worst. Late, he chipped in a double off J.C. Romero.

He has 23 hits this season. Five of them are singles.

"He isn't even getting singles," said Pettitte, who had been in Houston for Rodriguez's first three Bronx seasons. "I've never played with him before, but no one could expect this. Hope he grinds it out as long as he can."

Ever wish you were around when Einstein was giving physics lectures, or when Edison screwed in the first bulb? Ever wonder what it would have been like to witness a man do things beyond anyone else's imagination?

You can stop wondering, because Alex Rodriguez is performing at that high, inconceivable, indelible level.

Is there a Nobel Prize for hitting home runs?

There probably isn't enough crow in the world to feed all the people who for two years had doubted Rodriguez and piled on each of his missteps. Who reveled in his failures and castigated him for his virtues -- seeking approval, having the perfect haircut, being a sharp dresser.

In somebody's eyes, even Rodriguez's latest two home runs may blur next to the ninth-inning opportunity he didn't cash. With the tying run on first and one out, Hideki Okajima retired Rodriguez -- on a line drive to leaping second baseman Alex Cora.

"You're hoping he can produce again, but ... come on," Pettitte said with a shake of his head. "How many times can a guy hit a home run?"

With the current Rodriguez model, that almost sounded like a trick question.

A hitter going good is said to be "unconscious." Well, Rodriguez is in a coma.

To a hot hitter, the ball ostensibly looks as big as a grapefruit. Rodriguez is swinging at pumpkins.

Capturing the essence of his player's historic spree, New York manager Joe Torre said, "Right now, Alex is in a good place."

Yes, and that place is Wonderland.

Have some perspective: Rodriguez's first home run of the evening was career homer No. 475, tying him with Stan Musial and Willie Stargell for 23rd on the all-time list. The company of a couple of pretty good Hall of Famers -- except that both were 42 years old when they got to No. 475.

Rodriguez hit No. 475 at 31 ... and was only about a half-hour older when he added No. 476.

There was a lot more green to Fenway Park on Friday than the Green Monster. The home team was paying a rainout-delayed tribute to late Boston basketball legend Red Auerbach and the Celtics, so the usually Red Sox played in green jerseys and under green caps.

Earth Day comes late (on Sunday) this year. It should have been on Friday, with Fenway Park dipped in green. The lawn, the fence, the stands -- not to mention the $2 billion combined value represented by the two creative and diligent competitors, according to Forbes Magazine's latest assessment.

There even was at least one green Yankees cap, on the head of Colin Lama, who stood during batting practice in the box-seat section that corners the visitors' dugout and watched wide-eyed as the Yankees bustled to and fro.

Rodriguez was sitting on the bench at the opposite end of the dugout when he spotted him. He crossed the dugout to Colin, reaching for the ball in his hand.

While autographing the ball, Rodriguez made small talk with the 8-year-old.

"Are you from New York?"

"No," Colin said, "I live here. I just like the Yankees."

"We're from Boston," Colin's mom said a little later. "I have no idea how he became a Yankees fan."

We have a pretty good idea how he will remain a Yankees fan, every time he looks at Rodriguez's blue signature under the red stitching across that white ball.

Rodriguez has a better chance of getting those 130 home runs than does that ball of ever getting sold.

A-ROD'S A YANKEE DOODLE RANDY
HITS A STRIP JOINT WITH TORONTO BABE
By DAN MANGAN
 -
WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICK-TURE: Alex Rodriguez walks into the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto with a woman not his wife before getting on an elevator together.May 30, 2007 -- Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez stepped up to the plate with a mysterious, busty blonde in Toronto, as these intimate, exclusive photos reveal.

The cozy duo dined with two pals at a pricey steakhouse late Sunday night, then headed to a glitzy strip club before making their way to his hotel, where the pair ducked into an elevator and headed upstairs just after midnight.

Cynthia Rodriguez - A-Rod's wife and mother of their 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Natasha - was nowhere to be seen during the slugger's big night out on the town, which occurred the evening before the last-place Bronx Bombers' pathetic 7-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.

And it came as Rodriguez took a room at Toronto's Four Seasons hotel - down the street from the Park Hyatt, where most, if not all of his Yankee teammates and coaches are staying during a three-game stint that ends tonight.

"No comment," Rodriguez said when The Post asked him about his north-of-the-border jaunt with the blonde.

Yankees spokesman Jason Zillo said A-Rod has "never commented on his personal or private life, and he's not going to start now."

Rodriguez went 0-for-3 last night in the Yanks' 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

A-Rod started his busy Sunday in The Bronx, where the Yankees dropped a third straight game to the Los Angeles Angels.

The powerhouse third baseman then flew to Toronto, where he checked into the Four Seasons in the city's posh Yorkville section.

After settling in, the 31-year-old A-Rod, the mystery blonde and two men left the Four Seasons in a taxi shortly after 8:30 p.m., and headed to dinner at Harbour Sixty Steakhouse, a ritzy restaurant located about two miles away near the city's harbor and the Rogers Centre, where the Blue Jays play.

Rodriguez, who was wearing his wedding band, was casually dressed in jeans and a white, short-sleeved T-shirt featuring a large fleur-de-lis on its left arm. His tight-bodied, bleach-blonde gal pal was clad in a snug pair of blue jeans, a shiny, light T-shirt and wedge-heeled shoes.

A witness told The Post that Rodriguez and his three companions spent about two hours dining at Harbour Sixty.

Rodriguez and the blonde, and possibly the two other men, then were driven in one of Harbour Sixty's cars two miles to the Brass Rail, a flashy strip club located on Yonge Street.

The witness saw A-Rod and the woman go into the Brass Rail just after 11 p.m.

Home to what one Web site calls, "Toronto's most beautiful all-nude dancers," the Brass Rail is known for its booming sound system, overflowing crowds, overpriced beers and $20 lap dances - a drop in the bucket for Rodriguez, who has a 10-year contract worth $252 million.

Rodriguez and the blonde spent an hour or so at the Brass Rail, the witness said.

When they walked out of there, A-Rod and the woman were alone.

They then got a cab back to the Four Seasons. Their cab pulled up to the hotel minutes after midnight.

A-Rod then strode into the hotel behind her. He rubbed his nose as if to obscure his face to other people as he joined her at the elevator bank.

As the doors to an elevator opened, he and the blonde got in together, the witness said.

The doors then closed, and they disappeared upstairs.

A-ROD PLAYING FIELD ALL OVER
SWINGER AND A MISS IN 5 CITIES
 -

By AUSTIN FENNER in Toronto and JANA WINTER and DAN MANGAN in N.Y.
May 31, 2007 -- Alex Rodriguez hasn't partied only in Toronto with a mystery blonde - the Yankee superstar has also been spotted across the United States squiring around a similar-looking, buxom hottie, The Post has learned.

Several witnesses yesterday said they have seen A-Rod socializing recently with a blond bombshell - not his wife, Cynthia - in Seattle, Las Vegas and Dallas.

In Dallas, two people said Rodriguez and an unknown blonde visited a high-end strip club - just weeks before he and a blond gal pal were spotted by The Post going to a flashy Toronto strip joint on Sunday night.

And there is a photograph taken March 1 showing the All-Star sitting in the Whiskey Bar in Tampa, Fla., with a blonde. She looks similar to the woman he was photographed with in Toronto during the Yanks' current road trip there.

An explosive story in The Post yesterday detailed how A-Rod and his mystery lady friend dined Sunday at a pricey Toronto steakhouse. They then visited an all-nude strip club before calling it a night and getting onto an elevator alone together at the Four Seasons hotel, where the Bombers' $252 million man was staying.

Yesterday, before the slumping Yankees defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, Rodriguez, 31, said, "I'm not going to comment on anything personal.

"And I certainly don't think it's a distraction to this team."

Teammates Derek Jeter and Johnny Damon echoed that sentiment, as did Yankee manager Joe Torre, who met privately with A-Rod at the slugger's request before the game.

"Alex is a big boy, and I know how serious he takes his baseball," Torre said.

Cynthia Rodriguez, 34, ducked out of the couple's exclusive Park Avenue apartment building yesterday afternoon without stopping to answer questions. She later returned, had several pieces of luggage placed her in car and was driven away last night.

She has been married to the powerhouse third baseman since 2002; they have a 2-year-old daughter, Natasha.

Neighbors of the high-profile couple said their once-tight relationship has apparently hit the rocks recently.

"They used to be all lovey-dovey, kissy-kissy, all over the place, all over the block really. It was a lot of 'I love you,' 'No, I love you,' 'No, I love you,' " one neighbor said.

"Then, maybe two weeks ago, I think, they started fighting. It was strange. I never saw them fight before or even yell just a little. But one day, they just started. It was right outside of their building in the street.

"And they just yelled, and he stormed off in his car real fast, and she just stood there looking pretty sad."

On Tuesday, hours after Rodriguez first was asked about his jaunt two days earlier with the blonde at the Toronto strip club the Brass Rail, he returned to the same joint, a dancer there said.

The dancer, Bobbi, said she does not know if Rodriguez was alone Tuesday.

"I used to dance with A-Rod all the time. He's all right," said Bobbi. "But he makes way too much money."

One witness saw Rodriguez in early May with a blonde similar-looking to the one in Toronto. The witness said A-Rod and the woman strolled into Ghostbar at the W hotel in Dallas.

The next night, the witness said, she saw Rodriguez and the same blonde at a Dallas strip club.

A manager at the Men's Club of Dallas strip joint said staffers told him that Rodriguez had visited there early this month.

A dancer, Jessica, said she saw Rodriguez and a blonde at the Men's Club two nights in early May, when they got "a couple of [lap] dances."

In Seattle, on May 10, autograph collector Kevin McLean said he saw Rodriguez pick up a "short, well-endowed" blonde at his hotel in an SUV at 11 p.m.

And on May 13, A-Rod and a blonde reportedly were seen at the nightclub Tryst in Vegas.

Rodriguez has a penchant for strip clubs. In 2004, The Post's Page Six noted his regular visits to a Manhattan nudie bar, where he favored a beautiful Brazilian dancer.

But Rodriguez's father-in-law, John Scurtis, defended him yesterday, saying, "We think he's a great guy. We support him 100 percent. He loves his wife. He loves his family. The press is making something out of nothing."

You have a problem, stocktrader2006.

It seems to have something to do with you ability to balance values and concentrate on reality.

Anyway, as a true died in the wool far rightwing evangelical mad at everyone that doesn't spew forth simple minded platitudes in place of thought republican, you show again you rely on the "National Enquirer" for your intellectual stemulation.

Who the devil was talking abou Clinton or Lowinsky or anything political or significant?

There is nothing political or that involves any political party in flapping about what Rodriguez does in his PRIVATE life.....just being a noisy gossip.

Here's more about AROD just too annoy you guys LOL ENJOY

PLAYBOY ALEX'S PRIVATE DANCER
BOMBER'S BOMBSHELL MYSTERY DATE ID'D AS VEGAS STRIPPER & PARTY GIRL
By BOB SHEMELIGIAN in Las Vegas and DAN MANGAN in New York

June 1, 2007 -- The busty blond gal pal of married Yankee superstar Alex Rodriguez is a longtime stripper and Playboy Bunny wannabe who has danced at one of A-Rod's favorite jiggle joints, The Post has learned.

Joslyn Noel Morse, 30, who most recently was an exotic dancer at Scores Las Vegas, has been repeatedly spied with the Yankees' $252 million man in Tampa, Miami, Dallas - and in Toronto, where on Sunday, they had a cozy dinner at a steakhouse.

The pair later ducked into a local strip joint before heading back to his hotel.

Morse is a corn-fed Catholic-school girl from Iowa who quickly took up the stripping trade after high school, sources said. For the past decade, she was licensed to work as an "entertainer" at several Vegas strip clubs, according to Nevada state records.

The diminutive damsel is a workout fanatic with a hard-cut physique who appeared topless in an October 2001 edition of the skin magazine Playboy's Casting Calls.

Morse's secret identity came to light yesterday as the naughty Rodriguez was spotted strolling through Boston with his pretty, petite wife, Cynthia, who repeatedly flashed a grin. She held his arm outside the Ritz Carlton hotel.

Cynthia, who bore the couple's only child, Natasha, in 2004, said nothing as the powerhouse third baseman scribbled his name on paper and baseballs for fans.

"It's been enough," A-Rod sighed in frustration as he signed autographs, ready to begin the Yankees' three-game series against the arch rival Red Sox.

The couple dined last night at the upscale Beantown steakhouse Grill 23. The couple - who spent two hours at dinner before heading to their hotel room - had nothing to say to a Post reporter waiting outside.

Several people who know Morse said the former high-school cheerleader is the same blonde The Post photographed Sunday boldly strutting around Toronto with Rodriguez.

"I was absolutely shocked, because it totally came flooding back that this is a girl I went to high school with," said Daniel Lundby, a New Yorker who was a grade ahead of Morse - one of the "popular party girls" - at Regis HS in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in the mid-1990s.

"It was just shocking that a little girl from Iowa" is hanging out with A-Rod, said Lundby, whose school buddies were buzzing about Morse's photos in The Post. "She was cute then. She's cute now."

A woman who knew Morse and her three younger sisters as a teen said Morse was "sort of a wild child."

"She's just one of those people who have just that sort of aura around them. You know, they're cool and confident, but it's intimidating," said the Cedar Rapids woman. She said Morse started stripping in Iowa soon after high school.

Last year, Morse worked at Scores Las Vegas, an outpost of the famed strip-club chain, which has two locations in Manhattan.

Rodriguez, 31, is a big fan of Scores Las Vegas, whose Web site boasts of "Elegance, Gorgeous Girls and Superior Service."

Sources said A-Rod regularly dropped by its 25,000-square foot, 500- dancer space regularly - "off-season and during the season" - most recently several weeks ago during a Yankee road trip.

"We don't comment on our celebrity clientele," said a spokesman for the New York-based Scores chain, who nonetheless confirmed that Morse has been a Scores girl in Las Vegas.

Morse has jiggled her way through pricey Vegas clubs, including the Spearmint Rhino, Masters, Treasures Gentlemen's Club, Jaguars, Sapphire Gentlemen's Club and Seamless, records reveal.

She also has been listed as president of the small Juggernaut Records label, also based in Vegas.

On Wednesday, The Post exclusively detailed how A-Rod and his lady friend dined Sunday at the Toronto steakhouse.

Then they visited the all-nude Brass Rail strip club before calling it a night and getting onto an elevator alone together at the Four Seasons hotel, where the Bronx Bomber was staying.

Meanwhile, observers have been continuing to report sightings of Rodriguez in Manhattan strip clubs, including Scores on the East Side - where he favors a private room for his lap dances - and other nudie bars around the country.

A source told The Post yesterday that he once spied Rodriguez in the Hustler club on the West Side, where he allegedly spent a couple of hours secluded with a dancer in a private room and left with his pockets an estimated $5,000 lighter.

Another source said the slugger abruptly stopped visiting Manhattan's V.I.P. club, which had been a regular haunt of his, right after The Post's Page Six reported he was spending quite a bit of time there with a beautiful Brazilian-born dancer.

The Dallas Observer newspaper **** yesterday revealed that in 2004, Rodriguez had been spotted by "multiple eyewitnesses" visiting the swingers club Iniquity there on two nights months apart.

The **** said sources indicated Rodriguez - who again was without Cynthia - "was merely a spectator and not a player at Iniquity."

The Post earlier revealed that A-Rod and a blonde were seen in a Dallas strip joint early last month.

Morse's U.S. postman dad, Allen, and mom, Diann, a Catholic-school director, live in a tidy, two-story house on an acre of land in a small town outside Cedar Rapids.

The man who answered the door at the Morse family home slammed it in a reporter's face when asked last night if he would discuss his daughter's relationship with the brawny ballplayer.

Several neighbors said they realized only in recent days that the mystery blonde featured in The Post was a hometown gal. At Regis HS, from which Morse graduated in 1995, the future tabloid cover girl was not into "joining clubs," a neighbor said. "She would be more of the dating, partying personality."

How about that 9th inning homer to win the ball game. Isn't that all that really matters?

What he does off the field is his business, we only know about it because some idiot with a camera decided to invade his privacy.

He's not a politician and if blackmailed is not a national security risk.

I am not in any way an A-rod fan, but I find disgusting and insulting this claim of some need to delve into things that belong to other peoples lives, thus, I find your notion that gossiping about ball players personal lives and choices to be positively feminine, in the least positive possible way such a term can be used.

I bet you throw like a girl too.
