What you need to believe to be a Republican:

1. Jesus loves you -- and shares your hatred of homosexuals and the Clintons.

2. Saddam Hussein was a good guy when Reagan armed him; a bad guy when George H.W. Bush declared war on him; a good guy when Cheney did business with him; and a bad guy when George W. Bush used him as a diversion when bin Laden could not be found.

3. Trade with a communist dictatorship like Cuba is wrong -- but trade with communist dictatorships like China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international economic cooperation.

4. The United States should get out of the United Nations -- and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body -- but multinational corporations can be trusted to make decisions affecting all mankind without any regulation whatsoever.

6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches -- while quietly slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

7. Keeping condoms out of schools will eliminate teenage pregnancy.

8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our historic allies, then threaten them with demands for cooperation and money.

9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound public policy -- but providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

10. HMO’s, insurance companies and drug manufacturers have the best interests of the public at heart.

11. Global warming and the link between tobacco and lung cancer are junk science -- but creationism should be taught in the public schools.

12. A president lying about a blow job is an impeachable offense -- but a president lying to enlist public support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

13. Government should limit itself to the powers expressly set forth in the Constitution – such as banning gay marriage and censoring the Internet.

14. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle futures trades -- but Bush's Texas DUI record is none of our business.

15. Drug addiction is both a moral failing and a crime that justifies a lengthy prison term -- unless you're a conservative radio talk show host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

Give it a rest....there are more important things in this world than political parties.

Try focusing more attention on:

your family,
your friends,
and having fun while here on earth!

now that is funny...

i been watching Bush on TV lately...
he looks "unstable" to me right now...
like he's not sure just how bad his admin has been damaged...

it's his worst nightmare...

you hard-core right-wing guys were total jerks about politics for the last 3 years...

Bush has destroyed the GOP... it'll take ten years to recover from this...

UNLESS? the Dems screw up worse...

Bush never admitted to a single mistake as if he's some kind of hero...

he's not..

not only that? he'll blame whatever he can on how bad this thing gets on the Dems soon...

mark my words..

OH? and WORSE? he'll be blaming the DEMS but in reality it's the American voters that he's blaming, because they lost faith in him.

and for good reason...

i hope the Dems take the investigations slow...

i would much rather see people going to jail after he's out of office and can't grant immunity...

everybody now knows the war was run by a couple of fools who thought they were going to own Iraqs oil after the war...

you don't get it do you?

the post above by Gordon Bennette? it's dead -on...

you've only been here a year Andrew..

when i first told people there were no WMD? they called me a traitor.. a lot of other things too. but that was the worst...

i told 'em the President's report said it? and they argued for weeks and months...

they couldn't even be bothered to read the Presidents own reports..

it was all out before the '04 election and everybody pretended it wasn't...

you do realise that we won A war a long time ago in Iraq? and then Bush LOST it again?

Giuliani is gonna run as a GOP? what a joke..

that guy is a Democrat, just like Arnold is...

The last best hope for the GOP was McCain, but even he has become a shameless sellout.

(And stocktrader2006? Thanks for your concern, but please don't waste it on me. I'm having plenty of fun.) [Big Grin]

Actually, I always admired the work of the guy that was Captian Kangaroo, but anyone who claims to believe there is anything what-so-ever to admire in Bolton is a fool or a liar.

Or maybe both......

In other countries is not that simply.

We are lucky to live in a free country like America, and Politics and Government are very important for our countries future.

When the fox raids the chicken house every night, you accomplish nothing by idioticly demanding a plan.
