While there will now be much needed checks and balances, you also have a point stocktrader2006.
This government still needs to be monitored.
I found this comment online, which I agree with.
"You folks take a moment to call all those representatives who won last night and put them on notice. They have two years to straighten out the mess in Iraq, and properly investigate 9-11, or we'll vote THEM out and find another crew to put in, until we get the truth out. And we will keep changing Congresses until we get one that puts America FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD. Even if it means installing a revolving door on the capitol building."

Yea...since we have all been f...ed over by the GOP for the last 6 years...and sold out by the dumbocrats for the 8 years prior to that...I guess being sold out for a few more years will be better than being f...ed over...eh?

Just the begining now you will start to see real change for social justice starting January 1,2006. Bush is a lame duck for real
We won't get reports that the economy is better than ever from our president and then say so you go out and deal with it. Go get your third job and see how good life can be.

From what I've been able to see, I think Pelosi has all the right stuff for a president.
Peel off the RNC hatefull labels and I see a very cleaver and thoughtful patriot with a proven ability to iron out the wrinkles in loaded political situations.

My problem with Pelosi is that she is against the second amendment and doesn't have a problem raising taxes on the working class to fund social welfare programs for the deadbeats.

One of my problems with Pelosi is that she has signed on as a co-sponsor of legislation to impose sanctions on Tehran and take a higher profile against the Iranian government – the same beating of the war drums that was the legislative prelude to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Although I'm glad the Democrats have won, they are far from perfect. (Much better than the criminal Neocons, however.)

On 16 December 1998, Nancy Pelosi, a Congressional representative from California and a member of the House Intelligence Committee, issued a statement concerning a U.S.-led military strike against Iraq:
As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.
The responsibility of the United States in this conflict is to eliminate weapons of mass destruction, to minimize the danger to our troops and to diminish the suffering of the Iraqi people. The citizens of Iraq have suffered the most for Saddam Hussein's activities; sadly, those same citizens now stand to suffer more. I have supported efforts to ease the humanitarian situation in Iraq and my thoughts and prayers are with the innocent Iraqi civilians, as well as with the families of U.S. troops participating in the current action.
I believe in negotiated solutions to international conflict. This is, unfortunately, not going to be the case in this situation where Saddam Hussein has been a repeat offender, ignoring the international community's requirement that he come clean with his weapons program. While I support the President, I hope and pray that this conflict can be resolved quickly and that the international community can find a lasting solution through diplomatic means.
(In this statement Rep. Pelosi was not urging that action be taken against Iraq in order to destroy its WMD technology; she was expressing support for attacks that had already begun with that purpose as their stated objective.)

As any idiot should know without help, that is a quote from a statement Pelosi made based on assurance from dubya that those were facts rather than lies.
Palosi placed faith in the integrity of the President. That was a mistake!
And you should know that and be above attempting to excuse your worship of the RNC doctrin on an innocent person whose statement was based on an assumption of truth in republican lies.
The falshood is from dubya, not Palosi, and, as I said, any idiot should know that without help.
Never-the-less, in a spirit of cooperation and generosity, I provide such service to you.
