President Bush yesterday blamed his dismal job-approval ratings not on anything he's done wrong, but on a nationwide case of "battle fatigue" over the war in Iraq, the standoff with Iran and high gas prices.
Bush said he "understands" why Americans are feeling pessimistic about the future -- but he urged them to be patient and said the growing public disapproval over his policies isn't changing his mind about anything.

most people in this great nation WANT to do the right thing... i'm not saying we do the right thing very much , but we want to....
Bush does understand this, and has used it to manipulate US into following him wherever it is he's taking US....
i supported invading Iraq... i now know we were "tricked" by somebody... Bush says it wasn't him, but he hasn't done anything to tell US what really happened and why, instead he says "It was the right thing to do and i woulda done it anyway"
well? the majority of Americans wouldn't invade a third world country that obviously can't defend itself.... even for their "own good" we all know what happens in war. it's ugly and dirty and yes it is often reqquired...
everybody says the CIA is incompetent and in turmoil? that's cuz SOMEBODY, and i'm not saying it was Bush, but somebody most definitely TWEAKED it to get the intel Bush took to the world for justifying the invasion...
and then? instead of publicly airing what was wrong with the intel and why? he buried it....
even 6 months after his own reports had flatly stated there were no WMD or programs to develop WMDs many people still believed there were and they finally realised that Bush had either been made a fool of, or Bush made fools of US.... during the 2004 Prez campaign f70% of Americans still believed the WMDS were there in the desert... BUT? the data was already in and hidden...no WMDs and no programs to develop any...
now? we get to spend 6-7 billion$ a month trying to fix this mess.... and even Rumsfeld says that we face years and years of this..... 6 billion$ a month?
look here:
Total Department of Education Appropriations (in billions of dollars) 2005 2006 2007 Discretionary $56.6 $57.6 $54.4 Mandatory 17.4 31.3 9.0 Total 74.0 88.9 63.4 You've got to know math if you're going to compete in this 21st-century world.

Jordan Knight..... I have no clue where you were playin' the SAX for the last 45 years. What does that make you today, 85??? I don't even want to know what these "faithful" wives looked like if they were infact from St. Paul, Minnesota. Those "faithful" wives you were talkin' about know how to take care of themselves here in Southern California. I don't know about Northern Calif but if you want those so called "faithful" wives, take a trip down to Los Angeles or even San Diego and experience what you've been missing at the "3 Mile Trailer Park" in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He's the President. If you think you can do better than Bush, put your name on the Presidential Ticket in 2008 and explain to the entire nation all about "Battle Fatigue". BUT please know, I won't be voting for you!
And bond006..... I believe badgedee is female. Thank you.

DWE give me some of that stuff your smoking dude..
Bush has to be one of the dumbest SOB's in the History of Presidents. I am still yearning for the Clinton days. How can a President **ck up so much in two terms he literally flushed the USA down the toilet with all the stupid **it he did while in office (OH GOD HE STILL HAS SOME MORE TIME). If he took his head out of his ass and used the brain God gave him he could probably do a better job maybe!!!!!

I disagree. There's no other person at this time that can do a better job than George W. Bush. Like him or don't like him, the American people put him back into office to serve a second term. There's no if's or but's about it. If you people want to bash somebody, you should bash someone like Kathy Lee Gifford and NOT George W. Bush.

911 brought immediate sympathy from most nations around the world. And this includes some nations that we ("we" meaning the present administration) didn't particularly care about like North Korea, Libya, and yes Iran and yes, Cuba. Every nation on earth expressed their sympathy about what happen to us. We had the whole world (for the most part) on our side and ready to fight with us against the bad guys that did this to us. Don't you remember?
I ask you, what is the state of our standing in the world community today? Do you think that an empire that is seen as corrupt and evil, hell-bent on making war (in the argument that this will make us safer) can continue?
Look, one thing that we all should have learned as kids; that there is always someone to take down the bully. It is always better to be on the side of justice, righteousness, isn't it? It is always better to side with truth and doing the right thing. Isn't it?
God don't like ugly.
Ours is still a great country, the majority of the people are fair minded and God fearing.
We want to do the right thing. We just have a bad leader leading us into bad things.
One last thing, Saddam Hussein, reportedly tried to kill the presidents' father. Isn't that the real reason (or the driving reason) why Bush wanted to go into Iraq? Not to mention how invading Iraq would bring benefits to his pal, Dick Cheney?
Bush is hardly a complicate man. Quite contraire, his is simplicity at it best (worst?).
And now he is proposing to make war with Iran? We already have our fine sons and daughters in Afghanistan and Iraq. Blood is shedding everywhere. And now he wants to do more in Iran? How stupid can he be? It's no wonder Colin Powell got the fhuck out!
I still say DWE could've made a better president, can't nobody be more stupid than Bush!

It requires true idiocy in order to believe honest evaluation is bashing.

Bush's involvement in Iraq has not gotten him, the ecomomic mess this country is in has not gotten him, but if the Dow drops much more and it gets to the pockets of a lot more politicians directly watch out.
