Junior at UF.
Business major.
Want to own a pool hall.
If I play my money right, I won't need to take out a loan to get the business started.

And then once I do open up my own business, will definately be playing stocks during the free time.

Get rich or die tryin'.
But without the dying part.

How are you all doing with the penny stocks? What did you start with, and how much are you trading with now? Also, how long has each of you been flipping the pennies?

600 dollars put into Scottrade in early January06.
Bought RSHN on 2/14.
Currently sitting at over 3,400 (after some bad choices in between), and counting my blessings that I didn't lose all my money on this risk.

So, 600 --> 3,400 in 3 months ain't bad.
When RSHN's near a penny, I've got closer to 5,000 though.
So I'll get back to ya on Friday or Monday when this thing hits its next high.

started with 2500 and got to 3500 messing around with dollar stuff. didnt trade confidently and reviewed my philosophy and strategy, picked up some books on how to trade and analyze.
Then my mom gave me apple shares which i told her to buy which she sold for 50k and gave me $7500 worth which i sold right away. account = 10k.

Strategy didnt change much and i fluctuated imbetween 9k-10k. Eventually i found a book called "Trading in The Zone" which durastically changed my mindset and helped tons. I highly recommend it, possibly mandatory reading, life changing trading book.
I Really wanted to get into pennystocks but couldnt find a good informational platform and then i found allstocks and have learned TONS and eventually hope to contribute my own picks once i learn the ropes.

Been trading pennies for about 2 weeks. First flip was JPHC from .0004/.0005 and then the buyout rumors started happening so i sold off garbage and put half my portfolio into JPHC, currently 8million long looking to get 30k+ hopefully around 50k from the deal. Not bad for a 20yo. With this money im buying a really watch to spoil myself for my first big trade and then use the rest to flip massive loads for hopefully $1k a pop.

PS. "Trading in The Zone" get it now. Flip a stock and take $40 out of your account. Absolute must. It will change your relationship with your money and your relationship with the market.

Good luck fellow colleges students! may we graduate thousandares!

heck yea, man.
screw all this college talk of internships and careers.
i woke up this morning, rolled over in bed, turned on my laptop and 'worked' the stock market a little bit.
ended up a down day, but not as down as i would have been had i not flipped some of my RSHN shares.
any job that i can do laying in bed is the kind of thing i want to do with my life. not that i would do it that way, but just knowing that i could would be amazing.

Yea, great reviews on that one. I was just reading through. Maybe over the summer I'll put together a little library of trading books to keep me company between summer classes, trading, and boredom. There's so many books that have been recommended in this board that i'm looking to get into.

making $1000 a day is not hard once you have money. Honestly getting out of 10k barrier is the hardest thing to do and some investors believe you shouldnt even waste your time because its so hard to break that barrier. I have been in that range for months. Once you hit 30k-40k you can really rock which is what i am looking forward to doing. I love trading more than anything and i dont want a real job.

right here, I'm actually writing a book on an investment method I discovered

tip to all you other college students, common knowledge is what makes people common, the things that aren't in the textbook are what will make you rich

yea..
in the pennies, it's much easier to accelerate your account's lifespan (both positive and negative).
luckily so far, I've been doing alright and playing RSHN for as much as I can.
With some of the profits I've gotten from RSHN, I've been playing the more skeptical ones and really learning there, with each loss comes a new lesson.
But with time and education and practice, I see this kind of activity having a ton of potential, as long as you're smart.

getting a real job gets you a constant salary. the company i work for pays me 50K a year with 25K of bonus.
investing in stock market is risky, in general blue chip stocks gives you an average return of 11 percent with Standard deveiation of 5 percent. so i guess if you can afford to loose 5 percent of your money then you are fine. my suggestion is dont just trade the stocks espeically pennies as the only job you have. get a constant cash flow and invest in bonds, T-bill, etc. in general a AA 10 year bonds gives you an average of 6 percent return with much less risk than stock market. or even putting into a CD account. sicne the govermetn just raised the interest rate now on average a risk free 5 month CD account gives you a 4 perecnt return. that is a good deal.

here is what i do. i make sure i have 30G today(the more the better, because of time value of money. very interesting example, 20 dollars 200 years ago deposited in the bank with a less then 8 percent of interest rate will give you over one billion dollars) and then i will use 20G to get a CD account for 10 yrs with 5 perent IR. and that will give me 32,577.89 in the end of 5 years. so i will use the other 12,577.89 today to invest into the stock market over the next 5 years. notice i have nothing to loose this is the risk free money i yield from 5 year CD account.
anyways what i am saying is stock market does give the highest return but dont' count on it as the only way to make money

a good website for interest rate look up

4th year Finance and Marketing Major.

Used $1,000 and now up to $600,000 in 7 months time.

Reason, been buying a lot of 5 to 20 baggers like USXP, ADVC, ADOT, GWGO, CNES, RSHN (BIG TIME for RSHN)

All of these picks got from this broad.

Key is to put all eggs in one baskets.

Than sell half initial to cover investment than use that to buy another jumper, than sell half after double, than use that to buy another investment.

I keep on doing this for the above stocks and I was able to buy in BIG on RSHN through USXP and CNES gains.
