Today Bush and Condi Rice are beging the current Iraqi regime to hand over the golden spigot. but they cant find it within themselves to do it. Oil is price fixed in Iraq at 1.00 a gallon. The gas stations then sell it out the back door for ten dollars a gallon. Iraqis wait up to two days in line to get gas. Coruption in this new dictatorship was planned on by the bush administration, the price controls set up under Bushes interim government and the centralized control of the oil all are for the benefit of haliburton to take billions in profits from the Iraqi people who could certainly rebuild their own country. Haliburton has a private army of security forces 140,000 as the last line of defence for when the American troops are run out of Iraq. This is how Rome fell, The generals were busy plundering in far off lands they didn't care to come back and defend as Barbarians tore there cities down. Let another general defend Rome they said., We are the last line of defence, we the people.

here's the punch line kihls:
from yesterdays news:
''In terms of the message, the message is going to be that there really needs to be a government that is strong and a unifying force for the country, and that can act on the challenges that the Iraqi people face and act on those challenges expeditiously,'' Rice said.

you see? Sadam was CREATED by Iraq and their culture, not vice versa, and he will eventually be replaced by another...
whether he will be as bad as Sadam remains to be seen, but one has to do "whatever the job requires"....
our job of trying to "spread freedom there" (LOL)will take a very very long time and be very expensive, (even more expensive than it has been so far) because we have a very old and established culture to "modify"...
the neo-cons who pushed this ignored 5000 years of history..
maybe they are so conceited they really thought they could "do better" i dunno....
but i think they are just conceited idjits..

He Glassy,

I can't believe you're actually discussing anything with this moron. And Shlik, learn to spell. I see you never answered my post about meeting me up at SeaTac Mall. You're all talk, and are tough when you can hide behind the anonymity of a a message board. Heck, you're probably someones twelve year-old daughter.

If anyone in the white house had a brain we would give the Iraqi people a generic constitution and bill of rights, the ellections would be annuled until the people are protected. And the oil should be chopped up and devided evenly between all the cittizens, just like our stock maket . We had a opportunity to build a country from scratch , instead we destroyed it. Glass I dont think the culture of Iraq has anything to do with it ,, this country is the best because our founding fathers gave us freedom and justice with the constitution. Look at russia or west and east germany, its not the people its the system. We need to give the Iraqi people a constitution, Bush has handed the country over to the majority, thats all democracy does, that doesn't help the people. Same with war , wars dont make countries free . An agreement between the people to treat everyone fair makes people free. ....... This is about the oil no polititions , media or anyone I know is discusing the building of a new free democracy, it is a huge waste,.
High lander , no the troops are not cowards I'm sorry I said that , I'm trying to get a point accross, and that didn't make sence, I must have been having a bad day. sorry. I dont want anymore American troops to die over there ,, or Iraqis.. that is why I post here what affect we have Who knows.

our founding fathers gave us freedom and justice with the constitution.

yeah, but it's up to each and every generation to maintain our "gift"

Respectfully Quoted: A Dictionary of Quotations. 1989.

NUMBER: 1593
AUTHOR: Benjamin Franklin (1706–90)
QUOTATION: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

ATTRIBUTION: The response is attributed to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.

McHenry’s notes were first published in The American Historical Review, vol. 11, 1906, and the anecdote on p. 618 reads: “A lady asked Dr. Franklin Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.” When McHenry’s notes were included in The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787, ed. Max Farrand, vol. 3, appendix A, p. 85 (1911, reprinted 1934), a footnote stated that the date this this anecdote was written is uncertain.

Well put kilhs, couldn't have said it better myself and no worries. The hatchet is buried. But I do agree with what you said in your post. I think it makes sense.
