I have an etrade account and I have lost about 25-40 hours on hold waiting for them to pick up. Then I have to talk to an associate which ends up with me on hold for another hour to talk to a broker. I have been trying to get some of my restricted securites unrestricted and I filled out a rule 144 form. I have been talking to them since Jan. about this and the guy said they would mail me the form. I waited till Feb. and no mail of the form. I called back and they found where it was online magically. I then printed it off and tried faxing it to etrade. The first time it went through but they couldn't read it or something and nothing happened they didn't even call me. Then I try faxing again on Friday 3 diffrent hours and no answer at all. Just am fed up.

Any advice
TIA

Scottrade Basic isn't to bad. The local branch is great to deal with. Never had to wait in line(San Antonio). After I applied online and made a deposit, they sent me all my brokage info within a couple of days. The down side is that they had a breech of security last year and will only except deposits at he local branch or you can wire the money from your bank. Also there reviews and charts aren't the best. Not much help in that. I only use it to check the account totals and make trades. I have no other opinion since it's the only broker I've had. Good Luck

I agree with the scottrade review.

Pretty good over all but a serious trader won't like the charts or info gathering services they offer.

Deposits are annoying at almost any company that I know of, and that's true with Scott too.

Don't know about unrestricing shares though. Won't have to worry about that for a while yet myself.

Persistance is all I can council.

I use Scottrade and am fairly happy with it. When I have encountered problems the local office has been very helpful. They have placed trades when I was unable and charged the regular internet rate.

Choicetrade is fine with me, I always get through when I call within a couple minutes at worst.
