People have alot of hate raging inside of them...doesnt take much to bring it out...this gay-hate-bashing, like you say, will continue on. some people are just intolerant of others and there is nothing you can do to stop that ... its the classic, "hate what you dont Know"..therefore you fear it and consequently want to get rid of it...

Understand them? No, but it would sure be nice to be able to recognize one and know which are dangerous. NOTHING I've seen so far even seriously comes close to being adequate in pointing to who is and who isn't one or which of them is dangerous.
I don't feel even remotely comfortable labeling any body of folk via any of the schemes I've seen. It wasn't too many years ago that if it was black and male it was a suspected rapist and child abuser. History has proved we would have been way closer to reality had we replaced "black male" with "Catholic Priest".
But it isn't really that simple. Labeling groups never works. Most priest don't rape little boys and labeling them, as a group, as such, is sick, just like it was with black males.
What we are overlooking is that the evil wasn't the set of all Priest of the Catholic Church, but the officially monitored secrecy the Church went to to hide the facts. Hiding and "forgiving" those few actually guilty Priest (or claiming they were not acting with and through the Church and were cured or separated from the Church) isn't just a repugnant act, it's condoning and thereby participating in the crime!

As to your question...if you don't like what you or your child is watching on T.V. you can block the channel.
You don't have that option when someone has stolen your child as they were walking down the street to their friends house and now is being painfully abused 200 miles away from anything and anyone familiar or caring.

First, I guess a first lady can do whatever she pleases, since there is no official responsibility.
Second and more fundamental to this specific first lady, I don't think within the Bush cadre it is considered appropriate for a lady to think or act.
That looks to be a family rule at least. Notice how derogatorily they speak of any woman that holds or might hold designs on any position of authority and how "matter of factly" they "handle" whatever one of their own women folk says or does..
