Hey folks, I need a little help. All input is greatly appreciated. Any info on the area is appreciated as well.
I just booked a 7 day vacation to Barrier Island Station Resort, NC this coming May. They have a resort in Kitty Hawk, and in Duck, NC apparently. We are staying on the beach in Duck.

Ahh, Peaser... If you were going to Bermuda, then I'd be able to help you out with that...
Although, I could take a ride and check it out, since I'm in NC until May (minus spring break)

Thanks. We're looking to do something with my wife's (and I didn't say wives', lol) family. They're in DC, so we're looking for somewhere between Va. Beach and South Myrtle. I actually don't want to travel all the way down to South Myrtle again this year, but what the hay right, it's vacation. Looking for a decent place in the outer banks are as well.

Well, my wife and I went to the Bahamas about 5 months ago, that was okay. I'll never go back to Grand Bahama Island again though. The fishing was great, but other than that, the place was still torn up from a hurricane that hit the previous year. If you're ever down there and you see an advertisement for a Bahama Mama Booze Cruise, run as far away as you can; it took 24 hrs to recover from that one.
I may venture to Bermuda one day, if and when I do, I'll keep that in mind.

Was down there as well about 5 months ago. I hate the heat. I'm a 60-70 degree weather person. I guess Jan + Feb is the best time to be down there then. LOL

OK. Just cancelled my reservations, and made new ones in Hilton Head, SC. The place is called Coral Sands Resort, we're booked for 7 days in the beginning of August. I hate the heat! Oh well, it looks nice.

A cruise to Japan maybe then? I've had enough for one day.
I'm still searching, starting to get desperate now. Need room for at least 6 people / 3 bedrooms. Looing anytime in August for 7-10 days. I should have been planning this two months ago. LOL
My wife and her sister are taking over hunting for now. C-yall later. I might just settle for the Kill Devil Hills, Duck area still. I have no clue.

It looks like we're all set. It's finally set in stone.
We're headed back to Myrtle Beach this year in May. Last year we stayed right on the beach in a beach house. I hope that I didn't get spoiled last year.
