Aren't those artists too "commie" for you, RiescoDiQui? (Heh heh heh.)

The Fletcher Memorial Home
by Pink Floyd

Take all your overgrown infants away somewhere
And build them a home, a little place of their own.
The Fletcher Memorial Home for Incurable Tyrants and Kings.

And they can appear to themselves every day
On closed circuit T.V.
To make sure they're still real.
It's the only connection they feel.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Reagan and Haig, Mr. Begin and friend, Mrs. Thatcher, and Paisly, Mr. Brezhnev and party. The ghost of McCarthy, and the memories of Nixon. And now, adding colour, a group of anonymous latin-American meat packing glitterati.

Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?

They can polish their medals and sharpen their
Smiles, and amuse themselves playing games for awhile. Boom boom, bang bang, lie down you're dead.

Safe in the permanent gaze of a cold glass eye
With their favorite toys
They'll be good girls and boys
In the Fletcher Memorial Home for colonial
Wasters of life and limb.

Is everyone in?
Are you having a nice time?
Now the final solution can be applied.

Mrs. Glass is correct. One of Franks more vile songs, Magdalena. I posted one of the few passages that would be acceptable here. I didn't think I could get away with the "mayonnaise and kayopectate" part.

Two more that have been in heavy rotation lately:

Mark O'Conner - Heroes
Jules Shear - Between Us

Two great discs if you're in the mood. Mark O'Conner is violin music but mostly the "fiddle" type and Jules Shear is pretty much simple, easy music. It's a disc of duets he did with various artists, some of it is fantastic.

Up, check this out, for an obscure-but-great single: Marc Cohn covering Willie Dixon, on "29 ways"

turns the blues upside-down, which I think you'll appreciate

Engelbert Humperdinck...

Saw this Cat with his backup singers in Vegas once..

Women just flat out go nuts when this Cat performs...

Hey guys, put him on sometime with a lady at a quiet dinner...You might like the results!

Watch out when the disk gets to " How to win your love" If you have plotted things out right, by this time, your going to have your hands full!!!

Ill definitely do that Tex. Just found it on a cd at Amazon so I'll pick it up. If you're into the blues I'm sure you've got John Lee Hookers "The Healer", right? If not, get it, it's a great one.

Dedicated to the late, great Carroll O'Connor

Boy, the way Glenn Miller played.
Songs that made the Hit Parade.
Guys like us, we had it made.
Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then.
Girls were girls and men were men.
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.

Didn't need no welfare state.
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days.

---------------------------------------------------

In the Heat of the Night.
I've got troubles on the wall.
In the Heat of the Night.
Must be an ending to it all.

But hold on
It won't be long
If you be strong
And it'll be alright.

In the Heat of the Night.

Christmas Song into Halloween into Ants Marching for the encore... loved it, first time I saw Halloween in concert and he went crazy...

The Addams Family

They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.
Their house is a museum
Where people come to see 'em
They really are a scream
The Addams Family.

So get a witches shawl on

Up here in space
I’m looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do

You think you’ve private lives
Think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape
I’m watching all the time

I’m made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean

Always in focus
You can’t feel my stare
I zoom into you
You don’t know I’m there

I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove

I’m elected electric spy
I’m protected electric eye

When my Uncle Sonny blew back into town,
said I'll just go for a ride and have a look 'round.
and he took off his fedora,
and stuck his fingers in the crown,
and he pulled out twenty dollars
and he laid that money down.

and he called out to a taxi cab,
take me down to central park,
and keep that meter runnin'
to the twenty dollar mark.
and he kept his eyes turned forward
and he sat up straight and tall
and no one even noticed him, no one cared at all.

METALLICA - "ONE"

I can’t remember anything
Can’t tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops me

Now that the war is through with me
I’m waking up I can not see
That there is not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please god,wake me

Back in the womb it’s much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can’t look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I’ll live

Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me

Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please god,wake me
Now the world is gone I’m just one
Oh god, help me hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God help me

Darkness imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell

Landmine has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell
