She's the best speaker they got..

She will become a shinning star for many middle class whites and blacks as this human catastrophy gains speed..

The great middle class is going to need some strong leadership so they feel the sacrifces we all will make are justifiable.

Fema is out of control.
I think they are going to dump Fema thru an act of congress.

Gods speed to her she is going to need his help.

I don't think FEMA should be eliminated. But a full fledged re-organization is desperately needed. New procedures, policies, regional and state FEMA directors with authority. FEMA needs a complete audit and streamlining of all of it's procedures. If the changes can be made to FEMA, then some good may actually come of this catastrophic event.

Fema was originally designed to be around after a fullscale nuke attack...
the "old" mission that i know a very small amount about was to be the NEW govt. after the existing govt was destroyed..

let's face it, it's obvious now that 911 didn't change anything, except to give the admin a reason to invade iraq...

Be Prepared??? once again? i say that the only real disgrace i have seen here was the lack of imediate delivery of food and water....

the rest of this stuff is what happens in a disater...

however? i don't think it woulda took much to have the MRE's and water ready to be airlifted in....

that's not much to ask...

and i sorta assumed they had this stuff stockpiled for doubletime delivery all over the place already.....

I get your point Dustoff. I am just saying we can't do as we have in the paste and eliminate the FEMA name, all the while keeping the same organization and policies and just slapping a shiny new name on it and saying it's fixed. And if that means scrapping FEMA altogether as you have stated and starting from scratch to get a true disaster relief organization in place, I am 100% in agreement as well.

You have always been a stand up guy who to me is not masking other agendas...

I can't remember exactly, but were you not an old Cobra jock? If not no big deal..

My feeling is that your worried about a civilian breakdown begining in the near future..
