I've been remodeling my kitchen for several weeks now. I haven't finished some trim work on the floor yet because this is a paycheck to paycheck remodeling effort and I haven't gotten to the trim yet.
Last Tuesday my wife was sitting on the floor right between the kitchen and dining room where I hadn't finished the trim yet. She was organizing the pots and pans. Unbeknownst to her her shirt had become snagged on a corner of tile that hadn't been covered with trim. When she stood up the shirt tore and is ruined.
Although you both knew that remodeling efforts were underway in the kitchen did you let your wife know that there were risks involved in entering a construction area and to be careful? Also, did you point out the areas that were unfinished and to be avoided? With that in mind consider this... what if it was not your wife that ripped her shirt. What if it was a neighbor or a neighbors kid. In my opinion you would be at fault. My two bits...

LOL That's exact same thing I was thinking. I think your wife was just coming on to you. You missed the hint.
Seriously: It's a construction zone. There are certain warnings that should be known going into such areas. Please tell me she was wearing her hard-hat and goggles.
