we survived our mother drinking and smoking,
eating bleu cheese, and taking aspirin.

our cribs were painted with lead paint...
we had no child proof lids on meds, cleaners, elecrtic outlets, cbainets, and bike helemets?(LOL)
we HITCH-HIKED!( i did anyway)

seatblelts were a pain in the a$$ LITERALLY ever try sitting on one for three hours??
airbags was what your dad called grandma

we rode in the back of pawpaws pickup on the freeway while he towed cattle in the trailer (on the interstate no less)

we drank water out of the garden hose, we shared pop bottles and NOBODY died...

we ate tons of junk food and didn't get fat...cuz we PLAYED OUTSIDE(tackle footbal in the front yard..no pads...yeeeeha)

we left home in the morning and played all day...no cell phone needed to keep track of us...we built ramps for our "sting-ray " bikes and jumped them...
we broke bones and teeth and nobody called the lawyer..we just went to the ER for stitches or casts and then got them signed...

in little league, not everybody made the team, and not everybody played....try harder if you don't make the team they said...and SOME OF US DID!

the idea of a parent bailing us out of jail was alien...heck, half the time they were the one threatening to call the cops to take us away

the government and the lawyers are RUINING all of this...and we will all suffer for it...
