Gas prices are high for what reason? Could you elaborate... are you capable? Just imagine you are the little engine that could. You can do it... you can do it... you can do it Posts: 1019 | From: Are You With The CIA? | Registered: Dec 2003

Why do you think gas prices are so high? Why do you think Health care is so high? Why do you think the economy is horrible? Do you think that Bush has nothing to do with any of these questions? Are you capable of answering any of them? Posts: 73 | From: Arkansas | Registered: Jan 2004

Hmm, The economy has been growing at an astounding rate with no inflation ,interest rates at lowest ever,His plan to keep us safe since 9-11 is working. My health insurance is less than it was 4 years ago.Gave me more money to keep. And the gas prices he did to just piss you off.Don't believe me,try reading what the economists, greenspan and the people in those positions say.Good Luck to you and Bad Luck to kerry.

Thanks for the reply Keithsan. But I disagree. The economy here in the Bible belt is horrible. Jobs are being lost every day. Do you actually think their is not a big reserve of gas? Do you think the $200,000 and above income people should get the tax breaks? Posts: 73 | From: Arkansas | Registered: Jan 2004

Being honest i have no clue why it dropped.Kaiser plan, but it used to be so outrageous, maybe thats why.Used to pay 485.00 a month. And believe me if i thought bush was at fault for gas prices.I would vote against him.I live in ca.most expensive gas,2.39 a gallon.I don't think Bush is great, but IMHO i think were better with him.And i respect your opinion which is probably the opposite.I do hope things get better for you in the bible belt.Good Luck

ummm, declining economy before our President took office... recession in place...last time I looked our President has (although not alone in any form) done as much as anyone can to end the recession... create jobs... etc... do you actually think any other person in this entire world would have been capable of stopping job loss in the face of a recession and 9/11? Certainly not the democratic nominee, but thats just my opinion... Our economy performed one of the fastest 360's it could in times where it should not have been expected...

just implying that it was turned around... heard on some news the other night that our unemployment rate is only 5.4% right now (hopeing it is accurate) throughout the 90's and up until President Bush took office the unemployment rate was at about 4.5%. those numbers are impressive, but I do agree, as our president (I assume) agrees as well that there is more work to be done...

Yes i think everyone should receive tax cuts, if they need more money, they should chase around all the people receiving extra/free welfare while they work, sell dope etc.....(not joking I see this ALL the time, if i didn't i would be surprised)
fact is, i don't make 200k a year and i received a tax cut, that kerry plans on removing, he says i'll get a new one or something, but, i haven't seen it....being from mass, this place is tax crazy and kerry is king.
there is a surplus of gas, whats your point? use it all, so we pay 30 cents less a gallon? how bout buying a smaller car, taking a train or investing in oil.
Don't know about jobs in the bible belt, its a big country, i know this area took a hit on jubs when the tech bubble burst and everyone talked of how great the economy was....

Keith, the job loss in the Bible Belt had absolutely NOTHING to do with the tech bubble bursting...
they are getting ready to lay-off a lot more after the election too, you just haven't heard about it, but i know a lot of peole that expect to get laid off in Jan...
Bush is for the ULTRA-rich, and i prersoanlly can make do anywhere, anyplace, any time...
i just don't like living in slums, and they are everywhere and they are growing fast.......and Bush has every intention of keeping it that way....
all of those intel people you THINK had to be fired...they QUIT cuz Bush doesn't listen to anybody who disagrees with him.... and he attracts people like that to vote for him too....LOL....
Bush won't be able to accomplish much if he does get re-elected, so i'm not too worried either way internally. he has UNDERESTIMATED the true powers in washington.... internationally is my concern...we look like idiots if we re-elect him, but then i guess that's OK....

Ok, if Bush is "for" the ultra rich then who is Kerry for? Please note that Bush made his own millions, Kerry married into a BILLION that was married into. She won't even change her last name from Heinz... doesn't this tell you something. If you want to talk about one candidate being for the rich then it would have to be Kerry That whole arguement was more worthy when it was clinton running because he was barely a millionaire. It's funny how you bedwetting liberals only have four main arguements, and refuse to upgrade them.

You think Kerry isn't rich? Do a bit of research, and see how many countries his wife owns, in other countries, and how many mansions he owns in the United States! I've been told there are at least three of them, and President Bush only owns his ranch! If you had to stand in his shoes, how much better would YOU of done as President, having to deal with 9/11, and all of the hurricanes, etc! Things look pretty good to me, considering what he had to deal with!

Gletely agree with that... from my experience it is teh democrats hat put the most pressure on the middle class. After clinton took office middle class tax'ssky rocketed. Bush has lowered them, and it looks like they will be lowered some more in his next four years.

Maybe this could be a solution to high gas prices!!! Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up storage sites would be enough.) But again Bush is in bed with the Saudi's!!!!

Go where? Buy oil from whom? Have you investigated who could supply our needs other than Saudi Arabia? You really haven't enough wit to fill a thimble. Posts: 1019 | From: Are You With The CIA? | Registered: Dec 2003

no more than you or I, but far less than kerry. That is a fact, based purley on what kerry has been saying. Nothing he says he will do can be done without raising your tax's (unless you want to be dependent on the gov) and mine, and I doubt his wife will want to bankroll you.

I find it so interesting that every four years when there is a incumbent Republician President, the strongest criticism from the left consistently is about the poor state of the economy. This year is no exception.
I live in the State of Maryland, I am not rich by any standards. I work M-F and make about $35K a year. I have a side business that allows me the opportunity to have my wife not work so she can concentrate on finishing college while my son is in Kindergarden. I have seen a increase in my bi-weekly take home pay (based on tax cuts, not huge by I'll take it) and I received money back from the federal government via check which I in-turn used to help purchase new windows for my home. I cannot complain.
I don't have a problem giving a tax cut to those people who are footing a majority of the tax bill. In addition, I do have a problem giving those who pay little to no tax the same benefits.
My point is this, I can only speak from what I see in the Baltimore, MD area but everytime I go out to dinner (no matter where I go), I have to wait to be seated. The shopping centers are packed, movie theaters are full, traffic is horrendous. If the economy is in that bad of shape, where is are people getting the money to buy these things? I don't go out to dinner or the movies if I don't have the cash.
I wish it would be so easy to offer $10 a barrel for oil with a take it or leave it attitude. Thing would be much easier in that world.
