That is the only thing this Board is missing, everything else is great, have been here for almost 2 years for that reason...

have not discussed it otherwise... Actually, we would need about 4-5 chatrooms... those who post regularly are nowhere near those who follow along...gotta think about "noise:signal" ratio...
not saying it shouldn't be done, not at all--am merely pointing out that this is *not* a small board, where chat can be efficient...

I *think* that's something a former member was working on, half-heartedly... don't know that it ever worked well, and that's the thing about chat--it really, really needs to be lean and mean...

Problem we have here is that 10 to 20,000 folks don;t work well in a chat room. Servers don't like it either...

If you want to deal with 300 to 500 folks try the above tomorrow during trading hours.

seen it with more than 1,000 just being conservative as always.
A program called MIRC will let you get in and there are many more rooms as well.

I have visited another site...won't say where..but they have a chat during trading hours and everyone goes into chat instead of posting on the threads...but it is probably only about 10-20 people in it at a time...I found that hard enough to follow...and then it took away from the "posting" on the threads...which was unfortunate...because alot of info gets "lost" in the chats...

What about some kind of "shout" box or somehthing like that...Up in the top corner...or in the bottom...like a scrolling ticker type thing? Would that be "easier" than a chat room?
