Just a question to make sure I'm reading the info right...

PSPJ
PSPP Holdings, Inc. New Common Stock
PSPN
PSPP Holdings, Inc. New Common Stock
1-100 R/S; Shareholders with less than 100 shares post split will round up to 100 shares

Means if you buy say, 101 shares pre reverse; you get one shares post split and then they give you 99 more for free?

Sorry if it appears to be a dumb question, still learning.

technically speaking, you could have 1 share before the split: you most certainly would have less than 100 after...

However, such tactics can backfire, too...

You kinda have to learn these...

And, no, it's not dumb, at all--we find ourselves explaining these things to brokers and reg agencies allllllla time, lol

For that matter, there's *no* "dumb questions." Not saying you won't get teased...but we all started somewhere, eh?

Can't remember where I heard it, but my favorite was always, "There are no dumb questions, just dumb people that ask questions" [Razz]

But as Tex said, we all didn't know it at one point, so ask away in the future.

geez, you just reminded me: I had started a long-ish "mock" response you might be interested in, for replying in follow-up on your cash divvy. Of course, you're welcome to that, but the bottom line was gonna be a link to the FINRA Ombudsman:

http://www.finra.org/AboutFINRA/CorporateInformation/OfficeoftheOmbudsman/index. htm

this is from the FAQ there; I like the part I bolded:

quote:
n essence, an ombudsman's role is to act as an impartial, confidential, and independent source of assistance in the resolution of an organization's challenges and those of the customers the organization serves. To provide that assistance, the Office enjoys the full support and confidence of FINRA's top management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Governors. The ombudsman has the authority to look into any situation, to review any pertinent documents, and to meet with and discuss the situation with anyone having knowledge of the matter before him.

Thanks to you both.

So, my next question becomes...why?

Why do they basically hand out shares? How does it benefit the company?

started in the old, old days, as far as I can tell...to avoid the charges of handling "odd lots."
