Hi all - been reading posts here and on other boards and I notice there are some that are still doubting (I guess that is the word) that RCN is a good choice for our Q. Maybe this has already been addressed and I missed it. I was a subscriber of RCN (Starpower) for over 2 years and their service is far better than Comcast in my area IMO. Unfortunately, I am in the Washington DC/MD area so I will be unable to subscribe and get a firsthand peek at our station once it is available. My point is, I see RCN growing, not going under in my location, as it is the only other option for cable, internet, etc packages other than Comcast. Being #2 is not a bad place to be in a major city if you ask me. And when Q Television gets here, it will be here to stay! I would like to point out though, that as RCN is expanding it is up to every individual community to authorize RCN to put the lines in their buildings. I know this from a board member at our condo association and the installation rep from RCN. So even though RCN is in Maryland in certain zipcodes, it may or may not be in one set of houses, apartments, etc until sometime in the future. HI everyone! Bryd Recon here... I 'almost' got arrested, I 'mooned' a real a$$ of a guy infront of like fifty cops but that didn't get me into handcuffs  (This is all true, leave it to your bryd recon)Ii will have a full report later, unfortantly I got home to late last night to do it and right now I am at work and can't take the time to make the full report up. I will post it later after four p.m. When Iarrivied at 4:45 yesterday the Office was closed The office door had a small Q-Tv printed paper logo on it, which indicates they are still preparing the office. (The Securities group next door had a professional business sign hung up where as Q-Ttv did not) There was NO ONE there to talk to and I will take it that the GOP convention may have been to blame since the city, espically by the office, was a total mess, so perhaps the workers went home earlier to avoid some of the many time constraints of the security??? I will stop in next Monday, seeing how I will be back in the city, and hopefully someone will be around to talk to. The office was a medium sized office located in a clean, professional building. That is all I can really discuss as this is all I saw Now How did I ALMOST get arrested in the middle of Penn Station? Well this idiot guy, white guy in his mid forties, when we are right outside of Penn Station starts mouthing off about the police and how they are 'trigger happy a-holes' and how the cops are a-holes... So I turn to him and say 'What the F$%^ is your problem, Pal?" He starts saying how the cops are costing us millions of dollars. Ii cut him off and say they are here for our protection and it isn't the cops fault they are here today... I say "Yyou should show a little more respect to the police" He fires back a big old "Ph-uck You", so I yell, as loud as Ii can "Why don't you respect the cops, WHITE TRASH"... The white trash part sets the guy off, and now we are down stairs in the middle of penn station, I am SURROUNDED BY POLICE, LIKE 50-75 of them... and he is yelling, "If you like the cops so much, kiss one of those a-holes' (He uses the other two 'ss's) I yell back, as loud as I can, "WHITE TRASH, RESPECT THE COPS!" He starts yelling "F-You, F these cops"... At this point, I couldn't take it and YELLED "WHITE TRASH" he looks, Ii pull part of my shorts and boxes to reveal my WHITE butt! EVERYONE is now looking, the cops are laughing at the guy because I have completely embarresed himself and myself (Again, Ii have no problem taking one for the 'team'), The cops all realize the guy is mouthing off about THEM, so a few start to clap as Icall him white trash, and a few others laugh when I exposed my butt... A police officer pulls me over, I explain how this guy mouthed off to and about police officers and how I didn't like what he did, called him on it, and then TOTALLY embarresed the turd infront of EVERYONE... A couple of the police thanked me and said they appreciated what I attempted to do. Ii told them how I go to a criminal justice school and am very happy they are here protecting me... The cop smiled and said have a good night, and we appreciate you So I managed to moon someone infront of like 60 police, get a clapping response by the police and make one UNPATRIOTIC fool look like a complete dork in front of everyone Byrd Recon Team -Byrd- IP: Logged |

(a pretty big shot from what i can tell). anyway he is headed to ny tomorrow to finalize a new job with a co. that is often talked about here (a giant in the media bus. nbc, bravo,etc). i have informed him of the upcoming Q launch and asked him to see what he could find out for me, i dont know if he will or if he would tell me. he did look up qbid today and said that yesterdays pr was very impressive and asked me more about it. he said sales and ads are what will make it fly. i mentioned the name Scott Seger and his face lit up. he knows the man personally and has done bus. with him in the past. he then said that if he were going to hire someone for a new tv station that scott would be his man. he said that if scott cant promote Q then nobody can. i will see him this weekend and ask if he has any info for me. i will post anything i get from him. GO QBID!!!
We will delay till October like I have posted last week BUT who really cares ? Because this will only be a temporarily drop in PPS but what really should matter at this point in time is that we will be launching this network very soon with what it looks like to be some pretty decent programming for such small company. Let's get real and not forget where we came from and constantly be caught up in dreamland dreaming of turning our half a penny shares into gold overnight because we won't and it is not fair to assume we will to our fellow shareholders and to the Network itself. So let's stay positive and focused because NOT one TV Network in history has gotten successful overnight without putting up a struggle and hard work to achieve just that goal. Especially being in such upcoming niche market that most certainly looks to be a highly potential one. Let's get realistic about this and keep up the commitment and stay united as shareholders without all that infantile fighting and crying and pointing of fingers at every little sceptic thought expressed about this. Only by staying focused and upbeat and tolerant towards criticism will we be able to prevail and succeed in our common venture of turning this into something real special IP: Logged |
