Congrats lilpenney

very exciting story, thanks for sharing that with us.

I just left the hospital, I HAVE A GRANDSON!

Very exciting to say the least. My daughter called me at 9:30 PM.
She said she was going to the bathroom and heard a POP and then a gush of water came out. (sorry for the men that can't handle it)
My husband told her I would call her right back as I was putting her little sister to sleep.
I called her back
Within 10 minutes, and she was not able to handle the contractions.
I had Her and her husband meet me and my mother at the local deli parking lot to drop off their other baby, with my Mother.

They have a small car and I have a Durango.

After speaking with her on the cell phone on the way to meet, I could tell she was in hard labor, Contractions 2 minutes apart.
So, I put the seat down in my Durango (just in case),
Took Nancy in my car and had her husband follow us.
She was pretty hysterical when I got her, I got her to calm down and breath as I drove and rubbed her belly, She became calm and began to handle the contractions like a champ.
The hospital is at least an hour drive from where we were. There is the local hospital but, Not very good and no Mat. ward, or labor and del.
So we took a chance and drove. I began to prepare myself for the reality that I would have to deliver this baby in the car.
Her contractions were one on top of another.

We were about 5 minutes from the hospital and She stated to me that she is feeling a lot of pressure and feels the need to push.

Well, Of course I begged her not to.
We got to the emergency room doors, I ran in and told the closest orderly I could find to get a nurse, we are having a baby now in the car.
(The poor guy, you should have seen his face).
Got Nancy into the wheel chair (Squatting on her feet)LOL, and up into L&D, They ripped her clothes off, The nurse checked her and said, "we're ready to push, get a dr. in here".
Nancy screams GIVE ME AN EPIDURAL! NO TIME NANCY!
One push, see babies head, 30 seconds later another push babies head is out, third push baby is out!
Her Dr. didn't make it. So the on call Dr. introduced himself to us as he delivered the baby.
In the hospital at 11:26 and baby out at 11:31. He is beautiful.
Baby Vincent.
7 lbs. 2 oz. The nurse never measured him so, don't know that yet.
He was a little blue and the all wrapped in his cord but, is doing great.
She was wonderful and I am so proud of her.
So........2hours labor, not bad although it's at least an hour drive to the hospital, so.......very exciting. Made it there in 40 minutes.
The cop's wouldn't stop me, go figure! I know My son in law called the state police and warned them of us coming down so perhaps they saw us and just let us fly.
Well, Gotta go.
I'm not going to sleep tonight. LOL

I hope the Q run gives me half the rush I got tonight.

Here he is......

Thanks for letting me brag about my Kid for a bit.

Lil

WHOOO-HOOOO!

GRANDMA!

Bill, I am very much in agreement with QTN just appearing in those selected cities. There is a time and place for everything. In the big picture, QTN's timing is right for this year, but for the upcoming weeks we need to establish ourselves first, and then push the envelope for adding customers.

Facing the unknown often results in anxiety and knee-jerk reactions for many people. The average person is not going to do research on QTN, they will just hear bits from the media. The opposition is ready for action. QTN's customer base is right there too, waiting with $$$ in hand.

It's the "if we build it, they will come." Like Whiz says, "All we ever had to do was launch." One week and counting down. . . .Go QBID!

" TV advertising is a terrible financial deal. The TV network charges the advertiser only around a penny for each viewer, sometimes less. That means a penny for 30 seconds of my attention, or $1.20 for an hour of it.

Of course, even without the Tivo we don't watch all the commercials in a show, and that is factored into the price. For example it's expected we'll leave the room for a snack or other purposes some of the time, and today it's even expected we might watch some portion of our shows on VCRs where we commercial skip (though still get minimal exposure.) "

So it doesn't cost much to get advertisers but the advertisers are pulling away since the concept of TIVO is growing.

Most of the revenues come from subscriptions.

And the GLBT population. If the programming is good word of mouth spreads like wild fire.
Also free cable and viewing to aids populations. I believe Frank and team are working on the launch and have slept to keep MMs and day trade sleeping.
This is only my opinion but I like what I have seen since March.
Good Luck to all and make your own decisions.

Ummmm. Has anyone heard of Azteca?? No? Well, they're sucessfull! It's a TV Network for the Hispanic community. Link to story below.

2 Best parts of the story was this:

"TV Azteca was formed a decade ago in Mexico, a market then dominated by TV giant Televisa. Azteca eventually captured about 40 percent of viewers and 35 percent of Mexico's TV ad revenue, according to Advertising Age magazine."

10 years guys!! And eventually they captured viewers. QTN didn't just start, they know the ropes now. All they need to do is capture the viewers.

"Instead of us coming into the market as the new player in town, we come out of the chute running by partnering with Cox," Urbina said."

Open your eyes people.

The G&L market is huge and we're coming down the chute!

TV Networks Go Gay

Programming chiefs for CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox are scrambling to keep up with the latest trend in gay-themed programming. All four networks are working on pilots for new shows that they hope will equal or surpass Showtime's foray into gay programming.

This is a picture of the price action I think we might see happen. Do you see the little green Bull standing right above the break out of the symmetric triangle with the arrow, thats where we should be some time next month. The large gap ups are after favorable acceptance of QTN on RCN with other carriers signing on.

Our location on the chart, in relevance to todays price is the red dot right before the break out. Our chart is similar for the last few months up to that point. What a beautiful site that will be to see QBID at .05 by the middle of September.

See you all next week....steve

Fundamentally= Gay is big right now.
Technically= Bullish
Emotionally= Nothing better in pinky world to be in!

I know this is a graph of Nortel, I only used it for reference.

Apologies if this was posted already. Interesting Hollywood Reporter article on Gay themed TV in Europe.

Pink TV launching in France aims at 180,000 subscribers by its third year.

GayTV in Italy demonstrates low overhead/operating cost and already has 500,000 subscribers.

Good quotes: "The visibility of the gay population is now sufficiently high to allow a dedicated channel" and "The audience is wider than gay-only, with a strong minority of nongay viewers"

Good morning everyone,

As I was falling asleep last night I saw this ad for the Soap Opera Channel/Network, ok ok ok, if that kind of programming is viable then damn well know that QUALITY programming from QTN sure will be.

I don't know if any of you have checked out Here TV, I have watched a few of the series type shows. They did not impress me, I don't think they were bad, just didn't do much for me. I have been impressed by the programming that QTN is planning on airing come Sept! They really seem to have an idea what the gay community is looking for.

Landed in the sacbee Q&A section. But the author mainly talks about the risks of penny land.
http://www.sacbee.com/content/business/story/10526132p-11445188c.html

quote:
Q: I'd like to know when it is good to take a chance on investing in a penny stock. I have some disposable income that I'd like to put into a new television network called The Q Television Network (QBID).

Putting $200 to $300 into this for fun might be a gamble, but the upside might be huge if it just goes to about 5 cents or 10 cents a share. What do you think about this gamble?

- Mike, Sacramento

A: You're right on the money when you use the term "gamble" because that's exactly what penny stocks are.

Any investor who buys a penny stock has to be willing to lose all of his money. Putting up a few hundred dollars for the chance of making a small fortune sounds enticing, and for many people it is.

To me, the real danger isn't in losing a few hundred dollars. In fact, I think you can ultimately lose more if the stock moves up.

When that happens, investors often are tempted to buy more of the same stock, greatly increasing their outlay beyond what they had originally intended.

And, if they do make a profit on their first penny stock, they can be tempted to buy other penny stocks, putting themselves at greater risk.

The company you're thinking about investing in is actually called Triangle Multi-Media Inc. and it sells for about a half-cent a share.

The stock has been as high as 2.8 cents a share in the last year, according to pinksheets.com, where you can find more information on the company.

The sells are because of the silence...no pr at this juncture (right before launch) is the wrong thing to do. Also, people are wondering why RCN isn't promoting QTN.

In my opinion Frank is starting to look like a stubborn old bird! Compromise, Frank, is the key to all relationships!
