Thats why there is no time limit, they're making money off the interest. But as soon as your "unsettled money" clears, it goes toward what you borrowed. CGHitman14 Member	posted April 15, 2004 13:57 I use Ameritrade and I have a Margin account. When you have a margin account it virtually waives the 3 day period. You are allowed to borrow money that you don't have to complete transactions. You can place a trade to buy $2000 worth of stock, sell it and have $2100. Then you can buy more stock with $2100 and sell whenevre you want and buy whenever you want to again. There is no waiting period when you have a margin account. IP: Logged
